By daybreak Sunday, with a clear sky and diminishing wind, looks like we will see a range from 15 to 24 degrees; the GFS is now printing 19 for Birmingham. And, despite maximum available sunshine, the high Sunday will be only in the low 40s.

Sure looks like the coldest air so far this season; up until now the coldest day was back on November 29 when the high was 41.

A couple good boudin places at the Scott exit of 1-10 but I can't recommend anything in Lake Charlie. Don's Specialty Meats and another place about a 1/2 mile north of the exit. Scott is west of Lafayette.

Thanks.  But I lived in Lake Charles once upon a time.  The best boudin is in a few of the local, neighborhood grocery stores.

BTW, I was wearing my crimson dress shirt last night when we visited with our local (LSU) friends.  They had a god laugh when they saw me wearing that.  Lots of butthurt yet.

Yep, cold even down here in Lake Charles: "30 degrees; feels like 22".  The frost is covering azaleas and camellias.
