The roofers replaced my satellite dish, but it's off just a bit.  I can't get some of the high-def channels (FN, CNN, etc).  I need to get up there and adjust it, but I'll need LF or someone to monitor the reception signal as I do (maybe this afternoon).
No. You'll probably want to wake her to get up there NOW.
LOL.  Not likely.

                          ***Fishing Report***

We caught a ton of fish. Best deep sea fishing trip I've ever taken and that's with not being able to keep any red snapper. Caught lots of mingo snapper, an amberjack, a lane fish and a trigger fish. We had someone take a picture of the 2 of us holding up the stringer, and we could barely hold it up. It was a good day.

Where's the photo?
Lane fish?  "Lane Snapper"?
Sounds like fun.  Now I'm really eager to get back to Belize and start fishing again.
Thanks for the report - post the pic.

BTW, those "mingos" (I call them Vermillion Snapper) look suspicious.  I don't think I've ever seen so many big ones.  The record size is only about 20".

Cook them fast!

Thanks guys. It was a blast. Chech, you're right, those are large for Mingo's. We were about 30 miles out and I was fishing about 15-20 feet off the bottom and that's where I caught most of them. I also caught about a 17 or 18 lb. Red Snapper that I had to throw back.

Tell me about it. People down here are really pizzed off about the Snapper restrictions. Everybody that knows anything about fishing in this area knows that there is no shortage of Red Snapper. What makes the situation worse, is that they are letting the commercial fisherman catch all they want. It doesn't make sense. We had to move from place to place because once we started catching something other than Red Snapper, the Snappers would come in and take over and that's all you would catch. They're plentiful. It's a shame we couldn't keep any. BTW for any of you planning to fish for Red Snapper, the season starts down here in June.

I've followed the restrictions too, from both sides of the arguments.  Clearly the restrictions are helping increase stocks, but all fishermen see the commercial take as depleting allowable fishing stock.  It's very contentious.  The only good news is that the BP spill didn't cause the expected 5-year shutdown that some people predicted.  But the future is still in doubt (re the spill studies and data on uptake of contaminants).  Stand by.
