"Good morning." It's going to be another pleasant day and that is a good thing for all of the kids people trying to find their Easter eggs.

I just went outside in the early-morning light, and there was a rabbit near the driveway.

Wow, how fitting is that.

I was putting out the seasonal torches last week and saw a hole that had been dug, leading under our deck. Yesterday, I saw the culprit, a small hare.

Oh, and Happy Easter everybody.

I went to the early church service today. Because it was packed I sat in a different spot than normal. I sat down and started to scope out the people around me. When I looked to my right the guy sitting accross the aisle from me was Greg McElroy. I was as excited as a kid on Christmas morning. Greg's long time girlfriend is from Decatur and grew up in our church. Greg was in town visiting her and her family.

When the service was over there was no way he could avoid me. I did not know what to say except ROLL TIDE and stuck out my hand. My oldest daughter bailed me out. She is a year younger than Meredith but they know each other and they started talking. It gave me the opportunity to talk with him for a few short minutes. Just like you would expect he is a super nice guy.

That may not seem like a big deal to some of you but I am still pumped up about meeting him.

Afternoon, all.

Quote
And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. And he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him." Mark 16:5-6

He is risen; he is risen, indeed!

So we have an Easter celebration cookout at the house tonight and I've cooked  some of the fish on our deep sea fishing trip. All my daughters are here and my oldest daughter's best friend and her 2 children are also here. My daughter's besty has really had her hands full with her 12 year old daughter. I won't bore you with the details, but the kid is very defiant and is constantly asking for a butt whipping. Today, her mom told the 2 kids to brush their teeth before coming here and the daughter balked. Mom was persistent and daughter finally gives in, but comes out brushing her teeth with mom's toothbrush and has a sh** eating grin on her face. Mom says "Why are you using that toothbrush?" Daughter says "If it's good enough for you, why can't I use it?" Without missing a beat, mom says "It's ok with me but that's the one I use to clean the toilet". Daughter freaks out and shouts out OMG, what do I do?" Mom says, the only thing that will help is to wash your mouth out with "Dawn". Daughter did. Mom shared with us that the occasional parental victory can be really sweet, BTW, the toothbrush was really mom's and had never touched a toilet, and the daughter will never know the truth.  Wink
