Welcome home my friend Chechem. Glad you all are safe and I hope the family had a great time. RTR!

Thanks, Preacher.  I am most thankful to be home safely.  Somehow we managed to miss the accident near Knoxville that blocked all west-bound lanes.  It was a beverage truck of some sort, a tractor trailer loaded with Bud, sodas, and many boxes of stuff that splattered.  Messy for sure.  Hope nobody was hurt, but it looked bad.  We sat for an hour and waited.

Now I'm so tired my hands are shaking.  LONG drive.

I gave #### to all who welcomed me back.

I saw a truck of stuffed animals wrecked one time.  They were everywhere for miles.  It was awesome.

That must have been awesome.

In my youth, a wrecked beer truck would have been reason for celebration.  But I've moved on to other thrills.  Plus, the beer was all broken best I could tell.  The trailer was ripped open and had tumbled.

I didnt stop, but there were some people picking them up near the wreck.  I would be lying if I said I didnt consider grabbing one.  Traffic was not slowed, so they were flying around being hit and dragged.

This wasnt that long ago, last 6 months or so I guess.

I-40 through Tennessee is one of the worst stretches of interstate I've ever traveled. There is always a wreck upon traveling through there that makes I-40 a parking lot. I'm assuming that is the road you traveled. I-95 in South Florida is the worst. Anyway, glad you made it back safely Chech.

Yes, I-81 to I-40 and all the way to Jackson, TN; then south on 45.

I think every knucklehead in TN tries to wreck in Knoxville at least once; they rotate so one crashes each time I decide to travel. Grin

welcome home Chech  Cool glad ya'll made the trip safely
I had my lady friend (wife) screaming today too , not at the ballgame though .

when I asked her to stop at the water tower she went a little to far for the shot I wanted
I asked her to please back up a few feet and she did , right in the perfect spot but in the roadway
I was adjusting for the shot and someone decided to come down the road behind us
that's when the screaming started  Shocked   I got the shot anyway  Cool

get some rest , you sound like your as tired as I was this time yesterday ....

I-40W at Lovell now clear after overturned load of Easter candy closes lanes
3:18 PM, Mar 20, 2011

Traffic on I-40 is moving smoothly again after crews cleared the tractor trailer that dumped chocolate easter cand on the road.

The accident happened Saturday night at Lovell Rd.

The vehicle overturned around 11:30 p.m. spilling chocolate Easter eggs and other candies all over the road. It tied up traffic well into Sunday afternoon.

There is still no word on what caused the accident.

No mention of the beer truck; must have crashed together, or at the same pacle.  It was at Lovell Rd.
