Cool stuff. I gotta know, what did the nurse shark do when you touched the tail? We're not gonna have to start calling you lefty, are we?

"Good morning."
The shark swam slowly away, then nosed under a big mushroom-shaped reef where the other big shark was resting.  All I could see then was a pair of thrashing tails sticking out, which stirred the silt and clouded the water in that area.

Good morning. My week at Paradise starts Saturday. Myrtle Beach golf courses will never be the same after our group gets through with them.

Morning all. I am very jealous after seeing your pics, Chech. Looking out and seeing that gorgeous water is a lot different than looking out and seeing .... my neighbors big frickin' fence. I will live vicariously through you. Like the "shooting golfs" idea in MB, as well 2. You boys have fun.

Here is a photo (below) of a big Barracuda I caught yesterday.  That's me with the white-out face. 

The guides sent it ashore to sell (too big for me to want to eat).  We caught 2 others about 10-lbs each; we'll eat those.  Last night we had tuna on the bbq grill (caught 8 of them).  Nice.

Which she dutifully rendered to her mother,

I imagine the grilled tuna are delicious when they are that fresh...

I like the way you white-outed not just your face but the tree trunks also so that nobody would know who you were or exactly where you were either.

I like the way you white-outed not just your face but the tree trunks also so that nobody would know who you were or exactly where you were either.  

 

Nobody can white-out trees like Belize.

Actually, it's flaky meat; stronger than snapper, but much less than mackerel.  It's delicious.  Many people like it better than snapper - more flavor.

About the white-out tree bases.  I asked why they do it.  "To keep the caterpillars from crawling up and eating the young coconuts".

I almost answered, then stopped myself.
Aside: it's the moths (that can fly up to the coconuts) that deposit eggs, hence caterpillars from eggs.  No reason to get into that during vacation.
