That one was a fight.  I hooked the Barracuda as we cruised past some reefs that extended from 20' deep to near the surface, so I left the boat in gear to work it away from the reef.

It jumped after a few seconds, which usually is a good sign that it would stay at the surface.  It's bad when they dive first thing, because even the medium-sized ones can take enough drag to get into a reef.

It jumped 3 times, then came alongside the boat.  The gaff did the rest.  Our cook as already laid claim to it for her family.  I don't want it; too big.

From Krispy Kremes to Cudas. I've missed a bunch this morning. Nice catch, Chech. One of these days you need to Hemingway all this and put it between book covers, or maybe a little Cousteau film action.

We've had a good bit of rain the past few days. I hope you get it. I know you need it.

Sure do...Beryl stopped about 60 miles east of here and we stayed on the dry side getting only a trace of rain while less than an hour drive southeast of here they had up to 8 inches...

Barracudas, Krispy Kreme, and 2S is going to write a book? To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, "WTH is going on around here?"

A free "National Donut Day" donut at KrispyKreme. But if you walked inside, didn't they give you a free donut anyway-- if a batch came out hot while you're waiting?

I remember being down in Roanoke several years ago. Some big ol' girl working there brought out the hot donuts. It was one for me, one for my buddy, and two for her.
