All that remains on our dining table are piles of bones and empty plates (the good china), bowls, utensils (silverware) and a handmade looking bread basket. But less than an hour ago there was two platters of fried chicken, a steaming bowl of some kind of green bean and sweet corn mixture, fresh from the oven dinner rolls, potato casserole, and home canned bread and butter pickles. Two Shoney's bought strawberry pies sealed the deal. The apple butter bowl and spoon the woman placed on the table was holding up the line and so the pint jar marked 2009 founds its way to the table. Things are back to normal at Ft. BAMAWV, at least for a while. Back to the softball game. RTR

BTW, I'm not apologizing to anyone for the Shoney's pie. We like them and they are way cheap this time of year. RTR

I forgot the mac 'n cheese. Not just any ol' but a penna? pasta with cream of mushroom soup and pimentos mixed in with the cheddar. Try it!

It's a full moon, so the jacks are going crazy chasing sardines.  I caught this one just an hour ago (Crevalle Jack); hooked it hour and a half ago.
