My daughter who just graduated and lives and works in B'ham came home for the weekend last night. We went to Casa Santiago Mexican Grill for dinner. Pedro the cook was on top of his game last night.

Yum, looks great pmull.  I'm having French Toast this morning.

"Good morning."
GM
Just coffee for me. I will not eat until after I get back from a morning workout at the gym.
It is already hot here. No rain in sight. I have sprinklers going to give my lawn some relief.

No rain here either.  We have sand; no grass.  But I've seen the guides sprinkle it occasionally.  Wink

GM all. I'm late and in slow motion this morning. My golf buddy is a fill in steel guitar player for an area band and we went to Seville Quarter in downtown P'cola to watch them. WV would be very proud of me as I stayed up way past my bed time.

GM all. Hot and humid in Mobile this morning (go figure). And our church is planning an outdoors event tomorrow afternoon. Makes me wonder if our pastor is going to preach "fire and brimstone" during the service, and then demonstrate by taking us outside. You ever use such object lessons, Bro.Ricky?  Wink

My fishing buddy came back to the island last night.  He has the GPS and the snapper locations.  So we went out this morning in a new place, less deep than before.  This one was 700'; apparently a little rubble zone.  We only caught one species of snapper, Silk Snapper (aka., Yellow-eye Snapper), but we filled the ice chest.  We'll eat them for dinner.

Wow. Perfect timing too. I was getting kinda tired of fish.

Of course you did. :huge eye roll:

It'll be like the "where you were when JFK was shot" thing,-- I mean the national championship game you missed.

Speaking of such, WV, where were you when you heard of JFK?

I remember the teacher coming in to tell us.  When she left the room, many of the kids started cheering.

Guess he wasn't popular in Mobile.

You did not ask me but I will respond anyway:

I was in the first grade at Pinson Elem. We moved that summer to Huffman. They were showing it on TV and I really did not understand it. On Saturday moring I was real confused. I was wanting to watch cartoons and the news was on. I was pissed. However, to this day I am fanisnated by the Kennedy assassination. I watch every special that I can find on it. I have also read many books. If anybody knows of a book or documentary I should see please let me know.

I was maybe a second grader but extremely smart for that age. I was wanting cartoons with pmull. Those were some good cartoons back in '63. I got tired of watching the news with my Mother and went across the road to get my friend to play. His Mother would not let him come out because this (the assassination coverage) was too important.

I know a book about JFK, etc you probably haven't read, pmull.  I have it at home.  Remind me when I get there to send the title.

You children!  I was in 7th grade.  I punched a guy on the bus that day; bloodied his nose.  He's a lawyer now.  True.

We had a roller-skating party scheduled for that night.  We had the party, and I fell in love with the preacher's daughter.  BTW, the punch was because she cried when the future lawyer said JFK was a dictator.  LOL

You were a thug!

I don't believe I've ever heard JFK referred to that way. Probably will never hear it again-- a dictator? But JFK wouldn't even recognize todays Democratic party. More secretarys have died in his brothers car than LSU scored points in the NCG.
