Already pretty windy here. There is a 50% chance we will receive tropical storm force winds so we just storm proofed the back yard (outdoor furniture in the pool, etc.) This thing is a very slow mover with the jet stream so far north. The track shows it still in the gulf, south of the La. - Tex. border, on Friday.

The track you mention is the primary one used on the news, but look at the models.  Lots of variation in prediction, eh?

TWC just threw out a pre-commercial teaser of an update in the models, which of course they will announce after the commercial.

I'm curious why they selected the model that takes the storm west.  What did they say?

That one's the European model that they said was so successful last year. It appears to be the only one carrying it in that direction.

So now we're depending on the Europeans for direction?
They can't even agree on their Euro value!!  And they don't play real football.

Laughing I know. What's up with that?

Well, after the teaser, they don't know any more than they did before, other than the European model is now taking it through NOLA. Most other models have it eventually turning east toward Jax.

Seems like a quiet sports day, so I'll spice it a bit with this photo of a Queen Snapper we caught this morning.  I just like the face; a bit like Les Miles, eh?

That path is the average of all the models. There really isn't one that has it going in that direction. Most are predicting it going east or west. The local station had the sub weatherman on & he says it will hit Ft. Walton Beach on Friday, Lol!

Wherever Jim Cantori is broadcasting, that's where the hurricane will hit.  Storms hate that man!

That's why everybody worries when he shows up on their shores. Only sprinkling here right now, but apparently this is only the tip of the iceberg. I would sure love for it to go east, maybe giving Leroy a couple of inches before heading that way. We've had plenty of rain. We can do without for a while.
