Okay, our mean-spirited mountain man is off the hook.  I talked with my friends in Charlottesville, VA.  They have no power, have trees down, etc.  It was a nasty night with 60-80 mph winds.  Looks like WV is living off his generator for a few days.

I've been reading about the power outages.  Pocahontas County, WV is right in the middle of the mess.  At least it shouldn't be nearly as hot up on the mountain as in the lowlands.

BTW, the Braves won finally (7-5 over the Nationals).

The Braves are either Streaky good or streaky bad. Doesn't seem to be anything in-between. I saw where the Nats pulled Strasburg in the 3rd inning because of the heat. What a wuss!

Seems that every time I've checked scores lately, they've lost.  Yet they're still just 3.5 games back.  They could be back on top with one winning streak.  Here's hoping.

I have to admit that I haven't been following their issues that closely as of late. I know earlier Chipper was out for a while, but I think he's back. I'm not sure about the rest of the team.

"Rock Creek", I assume.  I played there when I had a house in Fairhope.  Nice little course.  I could reach the water from most any fairway!
