And plays the hole perfectly.  If he ever hits that driver consistently...

He's won it. The driver will never be his strength as it once was, however, being consistently #1 in scrambling, as he was this week, is.

I think you are exactly right.

Next week the PGA goes to WV's back yard.  He lives just a bit north of Greenbrier.  They'll have some cleanup to do first I'll bet.

That same storm affected the golf tournament. Everybody was talking about what a good job everyone did to get the course back in shape to finish.

Yeah, I followed that yesterday afternoon.  They lost a pile of trees at Congressional.

2 majors left. I wonder if Tiger is up to the task of taking at least one of them. I'm also curious to see how Phil will do next weekend after some rest. I fear his arthritis has advanced and he may be done. Of course if Amy has truly beaten her breast cancer, I'm sure he'll be good with that.

We need both Tiger and Phil playing well to get the PGA back to prime time.  I know the young guns are coming along, but I want to enjoy Tiger/Phil competition like we did Arnie/Jack a while back.

Some people hate Tiger, but without him playing well the field is lacking.

You are dead on. One of the most compelling golf tournaments I've ever seen was about 7-8 years ago at Doral when Tiger eeked out a win over Phil, when both played extremely well. Not many majors even measured up to that. I thought McIlroy might start taking the golf world by storm, but it seems every time he wins a tourney, he disappears for months. Golf really needs Tiger & Phil. Especially Tiger. Too many people, including me, would like to see him eclipse Jack's record for majors.

"Good morning."

Still lots of folks in VA, WV, and the surrounding region without power.  Hope it's restored soon.  Prayers also to those fighting wildfires.

GM. Woke up to a nice little storm here.

Lucky you.  We NEED rain badly here in northern Mississippi.  It hasn't rained in weeks, and everything is crispy brown (need I say "hot" too?).  Yesterday a thunderstorm came within 5 miles of here, but died out at sunset.  SEND RAIN.

Did you not get Chaak to do a rain dance for you before you left?

Actually, if it holds together, you may get some rain from the system coming out of southern Arkansas. It looks like it's moving N.E. in your direction.

Chaak, harumph.  I think that Mayan guy was a fake.  He couldn't even tell me how to say "Roll Tide" in Mayan.

Rain in Arky?  Better check that out.
