"Good morning."
We've got nothing here.  You?
GM, Chech. It's raining here yet again.
Get rid of that rain.  I don't want to camp (and fish) in the Smokies during a rain storm!  Thought you were going fishing.

We forgot about it being Blue Angel weekend. Only a fool would go down there today. We're going to play golf instead. My buddy took a video of the Blue Angels when we went yesterday. I'll try to upload that and get it posted.

Cool.  Post it.
I remember seeing them practicing over the Gulf back in the 60s.  One crashed about 1967, and my high-school buddy (and his dad) motored out from the Dixie Bar area to see if any rescue was possible.  I think that guy was killed.

Morning you two. 2, we don't mind if you just push the rain to a northerly direction, we can use some more. My wife and I went bass fishing early yesterday morning. it was a beatiful morning but the fish took a day off, we caugt a few small spots but it was fun to get back on the water.

Caught spots while bass fishing?  Either you were using beetle spins or changed bait after trying for bass.  What did you try?

There have been a few crashes over the years, the latest one in Georgia about 5-6 years ago. It's always sad to hear that. Those guys do a remarkable job. You can feel the American pride all around you when they do their show. We used to fight the masses and get to the beach about 7:30 AM on Saturday to homestead our little piece of beach. We'd go through a case of SPF nuclear war, while we waited the day out. We politely watched the preliminary acrobatic planes in anticipation of "Fat Albert", the big transport plane that would immediately precede the Angels. It would be fun watching the tourists looking East, then West for the Blue Angels to appear, then all of a sudden, they come screaming straight out of the Gulf, in tight formation, straight overhead. As everyone looked up and back to see them, the point jet would then split off to the West while the rest of the formation went East. Goose bumps and hair standing on end were the order of the day. Great stuff!

These are spotted bass or Kentucky bass. I caught mine on a Bandit crank bait and the wife caught hers on a 3/8 oz white spinner bait. The last time that my friend and I went, he caught a 4 lb spot on the white spinner. That was a nice fish, we don't catch that many big spots usually up to 2 lbs.

Hey, hey, hey, Fat Albert still flies just before the Angels.

J, I'd love to ship you some of this rain. Annual, rainfall here is about 60" a year. We've had over 30" in the last month.

No wonder!  In northern Mississippi the locals call crappie "spots" or "specs", so I assumed you meant them.  I call the spotted bass "Kentucky Bass".  We catch those in the cool-water creeks that feed into the reservoirs, but seldom in open water.  Yep, they usually are smaller than Largemouth.  Thanks for the info; always learning.

BTW, in Tennessee "speckled trout" are Brook Trout.  Along the Gulf Coast "speckled trout" or "specs" are the local names for Spotted Seatrout.

Come to think of it, we noticed that what we thought was Fat Albert yesterday, was not Angel blue as in years past. You may be right, I guess they could be using a repaclement.

Wow, that's a bunch. I'm headed out to the golf course today as well, after last Saturday's fiasco I'm hoping for a better round today.

No, but some of my friends have and they didn't like it. They said there are too many blind holes on it.
