I fully expect to be underwater any minute  

In the middle of the summer, by dark thirty you need a sweat shirt to sit outside. I have no air conditioning. Only two or three days a summer when you wish you had it.

I'd be willing to bet where you live has snow recorded in every month of the year (historically).

Several years ago I saw snow blowing sideways on the 4th of July. Of course it did not stick or accumulate.

Serious question.

I damaged the dust covers on my tie-rods already.  Stupid little rubber boots.  One is just unseated and I can probably fix it, the other is torn.  I was looking it up and it looks like replacing them will be a tall order (female dog). 

So questions,

How important is it?  Is there a more heavy duty replacement?  Should I make them do it under warranty?  How do I avoid this in the future (Sharp turns in 4wd the cause?)?

I remember when I was in school in Mobile there were days where you would get wet just standing around it was so humid.  I also remember days where my hair took hours to dry, lol.  But once you get used to it, I loved the weather down there. 

Take a shower, get all shined up, then need another by the time you get to your car.

exactly, lucky for me, I was always just heading to class, a bar, or the beach.

If you guys spent much time in Gulf Shores '84-88, I bet we know one another.

Yeah, but they're on the tie rod.  I noticed yesterday when I was greasing.

after my time , Dauphin St. wasn't the happening place back then .
most of the bars downtown were off limits unless you were ... (happy)
