Just copied and pasted to browser to get the tie rod pics. Plastic covers only-- IMO-- no biggie. Looks like you can change them by backing the adjustment nut all the way out.

I fixed the photos.

They are rubber, I was reading and it sounds like it's not that easy.

but from 87 until Ivan hit I lived on Fort Morgan Road  Cool
My bookie lived on Ft Morgan til he went to jail. You know who I mean?

my bookie was in Mobile , but I had stopped gambling by then
I'm trying to remember who got busted ...

Looks like Chech getting big storms now.

He'll sleep through it.

NOT LIKELY.  This is some bad stuff.  Heavy rain and lightning.  I just got power back.

dang Smitty , that's a shame on a brand new tractor ... must be a design issue
or need to make them a lot stronger rubber or something

hope they take care of it for you , like WV said should be a big deal to change
make sure the the toe-in is out of whack though , count the turn coming off on the tie rod
put it back the same amount , sound right WV ?

I was reading some more and some people dont replace it and just wait on that joint to get loose and replace the whole joint.  Apparently it has to come off to put the boot on anyway.  I'm going to kubota this morning to druel over forks and grapple buckets so I'll just ask them, I guess.

Funny you say that, I was just reading about counting turns.

The more I read, the less of a big deal it.  The whole joint is sold prepacked with a new boot.

I could check my owners books but that would require bending over. I know Chech will know what I'm saying when I speak of the "old man's noise". Kids make fun because when I bend down I make a grunt noise now. Kind of like a pop-off valve.
