I'm in an easy chair with a heating pad.  The only real danger now is Cat; she's growling.  And the power keeps going off every few minutes - YIKES, another close strike.  Add one to your graphics.

Thanks.

Gees, Louise.  It's 46 degrees and thunder all over.  Crazy weather.

So, four months later I just found out my recollection of how the IB ended was all wrong.

Not what your thinking, the ending stays the same before and after, but how the ending came about differed slightly.

I had been drinking heavily (which started as first half over-celebrating and quickly turned into alcohol induced self-loathing and depression as the second half played out).  However, I clearly remembered AJ throwing a game ending INT into traffic on 2nd and 10 to end any hope at a game winning FG attempt.  On another thread, I was questioned about it which forced me to go back to watch the end of the game.  Admittedly, I had not manned up to do so since the IB, nor had the desire to even read a game summary.  Frankly, wanted the memory to fade forever.

When AJ launched that horrible pass into traffic on 2nd down, I disticnctly remember him throwing an INT to Bell from the Barn which prompted me to immediately turn off the TV and throw the remote.  To my knowledge, Cam came out in the victory formation and ended the game afterwards.

Little did I know, I had rightfully disparaged AJ for trying to force a bad pass with the game on the line, but incorrectly blamed him for costing us a chance to win due to his game ending INT which NEVER occurred.

I had no idea that Bell dropped that INT. It was right in his hands. I thought the game was over. I was so sure I had dropped my head and turned off the tv before the dang ref could call it incomplete which was almost immediate.

I literally had no idea 2 more plays were run and never would have if not questioned in a thread on a point I had made several times before.

CRAZY!!!

Easily one of the most surreal things that have happened to me in along time.

Like waking up in an alternate universe wondering what the hell happened.  It is like someone just re-wrote an entire memory for me. Same crappy ending, but changed a major detail in the story.

I wish my recollection of how the IB ended was all wrong.  Unfortunately it is crystal clear for me.  Never again though.

Well, Che, what can I say?  "ROLL TIDE".

I literally would have bet everything I owned on the fact that he threw that INT.

It almost seems worse now as I had thought, "Dang, if only he hadn't forced that pass. Maybe we could have picked up a first down on third or fourth and got into FG range with a big play."  Now all that wishful thinking...would' shoulda' coulda' crap is down the drain too.

Oh well, haha on me.

yeah ROLL TIDE !!!!  that game just about made me physically  sick ...
what a roller coaster of emotions it was , from the highest highs to lowest of lows ...
a complete Ménage à trois of football ecstasy but then ended catching every STD on record ...

I still can't believe we lost that game , but we did :vomit:

That is the thing.  I was over it long ago.  I've no more ill will after the IB toward the barn than I did before it.  They won, we lost, that is life.  I had an adjustment period like I do after every loss then moved on.

I just had a very clear image of how the game ended.  Tonight it was like re-writing history to only change a small detail that wouldn't affect the result.

Not hung up on it, just a very strange revelation I thought I'd share.
