Gooood Morning CRS Coffee

There are thunderstorms up around Troy headed this way and a 60% chance of rain today so August is off to a dreary start here in SoWeGa.  It rained here at my pacle 27 out of 31 days in July...I sure would love to share some of it with those of you who need it.

I need to go down to my place of employment and pack up some of my personal junk from my office today while I still feel like doing it.  I've got about 6 weeks worth of vacation time that I can't get paid for when I retire to burn up before I officially call it quits.

Since this is post number 1,000 for me, I'd like to thank SUPERCOACH for creating this site and all the members who make it such an informative, entertaining and generally enjoyable pacle to hang out... Applause E-Cred to all of you!!!

Make some sunshine and have a nice day today  Cool

Congrats on achieving a retirement, that is something that is going away fast in our new world.  Applause E-Cred

Now down to more serious business. I'm thinking about contacting the State Conservation Office and see if they will come own to your place and start a restocking program for your catfish ASAP. If you are retiring, those catfish don't stand a chance at all with you and Mrs. L hot on their trail.

Thanks Jamos...and LOL...we haven't put a dent in the Flint River catfish population yet...but we are gonna keep working on it though  Wink

I had to check out old E.B. since I'm no longer a grad student .....

Eugene Beauharnais Beaumont, Jr., (October 2, 1868 – October 20, 1934)[1] was an American football coach.

He served as the head football coach at the University of Alabama program during their inaugural football season in 1892. Beaumont was an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania. During his one-season tenure, Alabama defeated Birmingham High School, composed of students from various high schools in the city of Birmingham, split two games with the Birmingham Athletic Club, and lost to Auburn University in February 1893. Beaumont was fired at the end of the season and replaced by Eli Abbott.

The University of Alabama's yearbook, the Corolla, said of Beaumont: "We were unfortunate in securing a coach. After keeping him for a short time, we found that his knowledge of the game was very limited. We therefore got rid of him."

@Leroy - Flint River?  I didn't know you were a fellow north Alabama boy.  You and NALT might be neighbors.  I don't think he lives too far from the Flint.  If he starts complaining about not being able to catch any fish, we'll know what's been happening.

30 days, men!!!

I'm back home in rainy, wet, stormy P'cola after 2 weeks of being on and off the road. I'm hoping I'm off the road until the Ole Miss game.  Wink

Congrats on #1000, Leroy!  ...and on all the fish catching.

J, I hope that fixes your tractor problem.

Chech, I'm trying as hard as I can to blow the rain up your way. BTW, I had that same ethynol problem 30 years ago with a company car. It was in the shop at least 3-4 times a month getting the fuel filter changed.

Man, it feels good to be home! Oh, and happy anniversary to Mrs. 2. We've been married for 32 years. Kiss

HLMD...I live on the west bank of the Flint River near Bainbridge, GA, on the north side of Lake Seminole in southwest Georgia.  Hopefully, I'm not affecting NALT's fishing too much.

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs 2...hope y'all have at least another 32 happy years together  Applause E-Cred

I didn't realize that the precedent for firing a coach for losing to Auburn, was set at the very beginning.

Arghhhh, I'm tiring of changing forums to read updates.   Banging your head against the wall.

Congrats, 2, on your anniversary.  I think 32 is a record!
