2, don't feel so bad because I'm right with you on these Thursday night games. State got that lead and I thought that fianally the Thursday jinx is over but oh no, State found a way to even the game up real quick with a safety and Kentucky td. I think I will go over and feed their cows some bitterweed so that the cheese that they make over there will taste real good.

Laughing

I've wondered about bitterweed since I was a kid.  About the only thing growing in my old uncle's field was bitterweed, in part because the cows didn't eat it.  Do cows ever eat that?  I'm beginning to think the whole story about bitter milk is a fallacy.

.     You bet they ate them. The milk would be so  bitter   that we would put sugar in it so we could  drink it

I knew I was to keep the gap fences and gates closed to where that bitterweed was growing. If I let the cows get in there, I knew I might as well go tell daddy here I am. I would get a whuppin. The part I hated was when if some cow had milk and it was bitter daddy would say aight, drink a glass of this sweet milk.  Cry, Sweet it was not.  , RTR!

Laughing Preacher, I get the impression that your daddy wasn't all fun & games.

Tough love. Kids are not getting enough of it today and that is a lot of our country's problem.

In honor of today's game, possibly the greatest sideline update of all time:

"Well, Eli, Smokey just came out of the tunnel, and he's about 100 yards away from me now; if I had my deer rifle, I believe I could drop him.  Back to you, Eli."

That true?

Something for the true sportsman.  But what is it?

That true?

I believe so.  It's a pretty commonly recounted memory amongst the Alabama faithful.

He should have worn crimson:
