Actually in this case char means fried and fun means noodle.  I don't know what hor means.  So we'll stick with fried hor noodles for now.

And yes, that's the before picture.  Noodles with some veggies, shrimp, and fishcake covered in a thick sauce with egg.  It's actually quite good.

Thanks.  I enjoy learning.
But, remember that we're a few hours behind you.  The sun isn't up here yet.
The fried hor noddles will look better this evening.  Right now I'm fixing on a bowl of oatmeal (with butter, brown sugar, and cream).

Apparently, I'm the last one up, but good morning everybody. 46 degrees here and the rain has finally stopped. We had dinner with friends last night and they told us that the reason we've had such a bad winter is that we are under a polar vortex. I haven't had a chance to Google that yet, but I'm pretty sure that's not another term for global warming.

Nice looking meal, BP. That's something else that we don't want getting lost in the translation.

Uh  actually, warping of the polar vortex is affected by global warming (according to those who contemplate such issues).

Alabama has the second lowest obesity rate in the South (only bettered by Florida).
Mississippi has the highest in the nation.

There must not be any McDonald's in Montana. They're #1 in the country. Florida's rate would be better if they kicked me out.

Morning, all.  Coffee

For the first time this week it's above freezing at 5:30AM.
It's supposed to rain, but that's better than the COLD.

Have a great day!

Morning Chech.

What a winter we have had and it's not over until Easter has passed.

Worst winter since LF and I moved to the frozen north (of Mississippi).

It raining hard now, and the daffodil blooms are loving it.

Morning all.  Last night on the island for me.  Well, actually I'm going to another tropical island, but I live in a crowded, dirty city of 15 million people so it doesn't feel like I'm on a tropical island when I'm there.

Indian food for dinner tonight.  Tandoori chicken and cheese naan:

Morning everybody. Rained all night here with more on the way. Looks like everyone is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. Spring can't get here fast enough.

I long for these days.
