There must be a water main broken somewhere, as we have very little water pressure.

You're right, J, there's just nowhere for that much water to go. It's a real mess here.

My daughter just sent this pic to me. This is a portion of Scenic Hwy, not far from my house.

Portions of I-10 are closed.

I took a picture of this from The Weather Channel. This is about a half mile from my house.

I just made a trip to Woodland Forrest and all I can say is that a lot of folks lives were spared and most of them are my friends. The tornado was about a half mile wide and it spanned from Woodland Forrest Elementary eastward. At no place did it ever touch the ground and that is what saved their lives but there is massive tree and roof damage which can be repaired easily. The old signature tree on Hole 16 was blown down, it reminded me of the Eisenhower tree at Augusta. I guess that hole will become a par 4 now that the tree is gone.

As I rode out of there I could only think of how many friends that Mrs. J and I almost lost to the storm  and how blessed everyone was. This was just a mild storm in comparison to the major storms of the past in T-town and it really makes you value how much have and how much you have to lose in just a blink of the eye.

2, we can only pray for all of you and hopefully there are no lives taken with all of this massive flooding that all of you have, flooding can be just as devastating as the wind can be. Pray

Surely all of the folks that have places on the river have gotten out of there.

J, that is great news that there were no casualties. Thank God that it didn't touch down. That's also good news about that darned tree.  Wink

Okay, it's cool (45 degrees), but it should be a beautiful day.

Hopefully everybody is well and happy, happy, happy!

Morning everyone. Coffee

It was nice turning on the tv this morning to the news and it wasn't all about the storm disasters of the previous night and with more to come. Today is the first day of May and just maybe the weather will settle down for awhile for everyone.

Everybody be safe today if you have storm damage to clean up, there are plenty of ways to get injured.  Cheesy

There was a gas leak and explosion in the Escambia County jail last night, killing 2 inmates.  Sad

They don't know if it was related to the weather or not.

Today's another day. Let's hope it's a good one.  Pray

Lots of spring migrants here today.  We have Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Indigo Buntings on the feeders.
