Morning everyone.

Coach C. M. Newton is dealing with a very serious health issue and could really use all of our prayers. I saw him yesterday and he has really lost a lot of his strength and weight.

Here's hoping everyone has a good day.

Prayers for Coach Newton. He was a great coach at Alabama. His teams got me to following Alabama basketball and I have never stopped. He is a great ambassador of Alabama/SEC/NIT basketball. He is also a Southern gentleman and liked by everyone.

He left Alabama in 1980. He had stops as Vandy HC, Kentucky AD and the SEC office but he never forgot the friends he made in Tuscaloosa.

Yesterday afternoon, LF and I rode a cable car up the mountain for a spectacular view of the Rhine Valley.  Just beautiful.  No rain here; sorry you're soggy, 2.

Sounds like you're having a great time, Chech. Rain finally stopped here. Getting things ready for a big weekend. Youngest daughter and her husband are coming in tonight to celebrate her birthday (tomorrow) and Father's Day this weekend. I'll have the 'ol grill working overtime.

Good Friday the 13th morning, CB and CRS. Father's Day weekend, maybe my honeydo list won't be so long. Happy birthday to my youngest daughter today. She and hubby are here for the weekend. Let the festivities begin!

Morning gents. I am staying in today after a brief health scare this morning. Woke up with chest pains around 1 a.m. that wouldn't go away, so I went to the emergency room where I stayed until 5:30. It turned out to be nothing, but it was a scare for a while. Needless to say, I am exhausted. I think I will be camping out on the couch here pretty soon.

Thanks for the comments, guys.  Just a minute to chat, but wanted to say I enjoyed the "pair of mugs" comment above.  

Today it's "CHECHEM IN COCHEM" (Germany).

Just a beautiful castle that we visited.  One of the few original castles not destroyed by the French 500 years ago.  Here's a pic:



Lots of cool stuff inside; best was a hunting room FILLED with boar's heads, red deer racks, drinking mugs made of horn, and other man-cave goodies.  

Bought a few knives this morning too (German-made ones) in the town along the Mosel River below the castle.  

LF and I are off to Luxembourg.  Gonna see the military cemetery there where General Patton is buried.  More later...

Shoot, CB, I hope it was like you said, with it being nothing. We've had too many casualties on CRS, as it is. I think you just need to rest and do what you like on this Father's Day weekend. Just tell Mrs. CB that it's good therapy.

Well happy 13th of June on Friday. I am not superstitious at all. I have to say I use to be about black cats and Friday 13th. No longer though after i was Saved by the blood of JESUS. This has always been a good day for me. Waiting on practice to start. RTR!

Chech, it's great to see that your trip is going so well and I can only envy you and LF. I love the pics you have sent us so far, there are so many beautiful sights over there. Continue you great trip and I'm looking forward to more of your pics with the beautiful sights.

Today I'm busy with a class reunion luncheon, it will be good to see my classmates again.
