Some stuff I wrote up for the web page.  Not in any kind of order, just blurbs for various areas.  Will you check?

Quote
Bush hogging - Smith land services uses a 6’ land pride heavy duty cutter which can cut up to 3” saplings.

Brush removal - heavy brush removed and piled or removed from your property using combination of front -end loader and bush hogging.

Privet and  Sapling uprooting and removal -  Invasive Chinese privet removed by up rooting.  Privets can be stacked on property  for burning or decomposition, or removed from property.  Small saplings and trees removed in the same manner.

Box Blade grading - Smith land Services uses a 6’ heavy duty United Box Blade with multiple settings.  The box blade can removed low spots from your property, level areas, create paths,  clean debris, turn over soil, and more.

Gravel driveway, private road, and parking lot maintenance, repair, resurfacing.  Smith Land Services can make your gravel lot or driveway look like new.  Many times we can repair the road, lot, or driveway with minimal additional rock.   Smith land services repairs your gravel by deep scraping, regrading, and tire compaction.   Additional rock and roller available as needed.

Clean up - Storm and debris clean up.  Loader services can be used to clear up areas of your property from fallen trees or other debris.

Surface Drainage - Smith Land Services can fix your water issues.  Owned and operated by a professional geologist.  We will evaluate the hydrogeologic conditions of your property and propose and implement solutions to eliminate standing water, muddy areas, low spots, and puddling.  We also provide cleanout and repair of existing surface drainage systems.

French Drains - Smith Land Services provides design and construction of French drain and French drain systems.  We will evaluate the groundwater flow and direction of your property and determine the location, depth, and length of the system.  French drains intersect the water table below ground and direct it for proper drainage.  No more flooding basements.

Professional Services - Smith Land Services is owned and operated by an Alabama Licensed Professional Geologist.  We also provide environmental consulting for underground storage tanks , phase I/II, preliminary and secondary investigations,  and any other environmental or geologic consulting.  Our geologists are also available for contract work on a project basis.

Area Serviced -

Smith Land Services is located in St. Clair County near Pell City.  We serve all areas of St. Clair county and anywhere between Birmingham and Anniston.  Longer distances served with either full day minimum, very large projects, or fuel surcharges.

Fees -

Smith Land Services charges a flat $75 an hour or $650 a day, which ever is cheapest.  No surprises.  You will not pay for down time or travel. Occasionally additional materials are needed such as rock or piping.  In these instances you will be charged a flat %10 pass through on the item.  Again, no surprises.

Estimates -

Smith Land Services provides free estimates as requested, but these are just that, estimates.  The nature of land clearing and drainage solutions are difficult to predict before getting into the work on your property for the first time.  We do our best, but sometimes there is more and sometimes less.  However, we guarantee your satisfaction.  If you are unhappy with the results of the work performed and the associated fees, we will stay until it is fixed to your satisfaction at no additional cost.

Discounts -
Smith Land Services would be honored to handle the work at your church  for our cost only.

10% Discount for disabled veterans and elderly

Flat rate pricing and discounts available for repeat customers.

Minimum -

Minimum hourly charges are dependent on distance from our office location near Pell City in central St. Clair County.   Typically 2 or 4 hour minimum.

INTRO

Smith Land Services goal is to make your property usable again for you.  Mr. Smith started the company after having a difficult time finding reasonably priced and reliable contractors to assist him in clearing his own land.

Smith Land Services uses a new Kubota L4400 with front end loader, bush hog, and box blade.  All equipment is new and included in the hourly rate.

The hourly rate billing system is the best way to protect all of us.  Overgrown land can be difficult to accurately evaluate.  As someone who also uses contractors, Mr. Smith doesn’t like surprises.  You will never be hit with a huge unexpected bill.  Good faith estimates will be given and reevaluated as needed.  We will work with you to get the results you desire within your budget.

Call or Email to get started reclaiming your property.

Yeah, we were laughing, this the 3rd week in a row that dancing with the stars has been interupted, weather guy apologized every 2 seconds.  It was pretty funny.

Just loud rain here, but it was after dark before it got here so it had fallen apart.

That's straight line damage.

The Memphis news said "tornadoes", but no mention of that in the story.  Sounds like straight-line, as you said.  Either way, I'll need to call my buddy who lives on Shades Mountain.  His neighborhood seems to attract bad weather.

Good morning, WV.  Glad you're okay.

Smitty, PM.  Only minor edits.  Sure you want that "stay at your cost" guarantee?
