unless the starter is hurt bad is the only way I see a 2 qb deal or a tremendous lead late in the game

My writing skills are failing me.  Last try, then bed:

1. We will keep both QBs, because we might need both if one gets injured.
2. CNS won't show his hand (idiom) until after game 1, in part to keep both QB at UA.
3. I don't think CNS knows which one he'll choose as the starter.
4. Blake Sims will be a specialty QB (just like HTWMI was during the past 2 years).
5. I may be wrong.  We can ask Coach Saban when he arrives tomorrow to kick pmull's butt and slap the rest of us around.

We have not had the opportunity to see both QBs on a daily basis. That being said, the game today was statistically a dead heat, maybe edge AJ. Given the fact that AJ experienced game conditions last season, I would give him the lean. I would feel better about Sims, should he recommit himself by staying in Tuscaloosa during his summer break.

Good observations SC.

AJ has spent more time with the 1st team than Sims and AJ has more experience. Therfore, he should be ahead of Sims at this point. I don't see it. Sims looks good in the pocket and seems to make good decisions. He is young. He will get better. Sims was late on a few throws but that can be worked out this summer. He made some very nice throws in traffic. I like the quick release and volocity on his throws. Sims is also bigger and looks more durable to me. Can McCarron take a hit?

AJ seems to throw the ball up for grabs too much for me.

I agree 100%.  Especially the part about AJ should be ahead.  To me this doesn't bode well for him.  I think Sims will begin to pull away once he gets a few more reps with the 1's against the 1's on D.  His weaknesses are from lack of experience.  I think AJ's are from his gunslinger mentality, and I don't see reps helping that.  The thought of losing out to Sims might help though if he realizes the starting job is on the line if he doesn't start doing things the way CNS wants them to be done.

I think we are in a great position actually because those guys are going to be pushing each other pretty hard.  They are both going to be studying hard this summer and watching film to try to get the upper hand, which will only benefit the team.

We can win with either of them. It is a good situation to be in. Competition will make both of them better. Maybe the coaches are better qualified to make this decision than we are.
