I watched Austin High School put a beat down on Hartselle last night 62-31. I hope to witness another beat down at Bryant Denny Stadium today.

Austin finished region play as the Region 8 number 2 seed with a 6-3 record.

We play 7A  #1 Bob Jones in our final regular season game before the playoffs. We beat 7A #2 Spain Park to open the season and lost by 2 pts to 7A #5 Buckhorn so we may stand a chance. Not a bad schedule for a 6A team.

I parked cars for a Habitat fundraiser this morning in Oxford.
The A&M folks told me that DFW had cancelled dozens of flights due to flooding, including flights into Memphis.  So the Aggies have a huge caravan of fans driving the 9 hours to Oxford. 

They said 9 hours.  They must be fast drivers!!

I talked with a group of A&M fans in Oxford this afternoon.  They were walking the Ole Miss campus.

I complimented them for welcoming Alabama fans to College Station last weekend, and mentioned that Coach Saban noted that they didn't boo the team.

"Oh, we don't do that," they told me. 
"Well, that's CLASS," I told them.  "Wish more fans were so classy."

We had a good chat about A&M joining the SEC, and how much it has affected A&M.  It was a good visit.

Our fans, on the other hand, drop the f-bomb on the opposing team.
