More news:

1. KC came from behind, thanks to an error in the 8th, and beat the Mets 5-3.

2. FSU has better players than Syracuse:

3. Nebraska's chances of bowling are gone (well, almost certainly) after Purdue beat them.  Fans are pizzed:

4. Texas Tech has no defense.  But they had fun here, despite losing to OSU:

5. Nkemdiche is still good.  Aubs lose again:

It has amazed me that Nebraska lost the great program that they once had. I can see a team cycling through some tough years but still return to their once greatness but Nebraska never has.

I've heard lots of reasons why Nebraska has fallen, but the #1 explanation centers on THE BIG TEN.  After they left their conference, Nebraska hasn't recruited well against other BIG TEN or BIG 12 teams.  Bo was a good, albeit crazy, coach.  They're worse now!  Look at those fans.  They may fire another head coach this year!

We hear all of the rumor talk about CKS and CLK leaving Bama, that might be a good opportunity for either of them. There again, recruiting is the problem for any coach that takes the job there and I don't know if that would change for either of them.

No, it's tough to recruit players to Nebraska.  There's no beach, it's miserably hot during summer, and the women are ___ (choose your descriptor).

  What'd I miss?

Hey, wait a minute! I finished 6-4, not 5-5. What's with the UF-UGa game? Hey SC, it was Halloween, not April Fool's day.

Good morning from soggy Greenville.

Never question the entourage!
Maybe Florida forfeited for cheating.
Read the thread about it.  We agreed to toss out that game.

Afternoon gents. Had some fun watching other games yesterday (though it would have been better had the Tide been playing), but a boring afternoon watching the Ravens lose (AGAIN). Hey, has anyone heard anything from Pee Wee this season? I just thought today that I hadn't seen anything from him this year so far.

He's been mentioned weekly on the Coach Saban call-in show on Thursdays.  But haven't seen him on the forum this season at all.

Nebraska has made some puzzling coaching decisions.  They were spoiled with Tom Osborne, and fired his replacement Frank Solich after 6 seasons even though Nebraska finished in the top 10 for three of those seasons.  Since then coaching hires have been strange, with Pelini having more success than the others, though still not up to "Nebraska standards."

Mike Riley was a very strange hire, a guy who had a losing conference record in the PAC12 over 13 seasons, including a 2-7 conference record the year Nebraska hired him.  Not someone you would expect to lead a team to championships.  A very nice guy, sort of like hiring a less competent Mark Richt.

Will the rain ever stop? Mrs 2 and I stayed in most of the time, because all it did this weekend is rain and it's still raining. Chaac, please get this out of your system before this weekend.

Good Monday morning.  Coffee

Licking my wounds this morning (not literally), after a weekend of dealing with the public.  I added some nice knives to my collection, so not all bad.

Surprised last night how easily Denver beat Green Bay.  I like both teams, but thought GB would have won (especially with Lacy and Haha helping).  Final 29-10, but never close.

Still foggy and misty rain here this morning.  Looking like winter.  Early forecast for next weekend: 80% rain.

 Sad
