Did you actually see the tires come up? You are sitting at a high center of gravity so it sometimes feels like it is gonna tip when in actualty you are not. Better to be safe than sorry. I have had ours sideways on hillsides about as steep as that bank by your culvert.

It was more of one side going down.   You're right though, I was probably a lot further from rolling that I thought.  It was scary though, before I stopped and thought about it for a minute every time the tires turned the one side went deeper.

In related news, it's about to rain/storm here.   Should be a good test of several on-going projects around here.

And finally, I am going to repair my pool myself and it will be concrete.

Try spending all day on a hillside. I try to work straight up and straight down, but this is not always possible. The tension, spending all day with a death grip on the wheel. It wears you out. I've augered post holes in all kinds of positions (through trees, etc) and spent half the day with only 2 tires touching. I remember running sideways on a hillside when the front tire hit a big azz rock,-- that was exciting.

Wow, no thanks, if something is that steep I'll just pass on it.

reminds me, I was driving down the road last week and I saw and old man standing next to an old ford tractor with a box blade on it laying on it's side in his drainage ditch.  I had a trailer full of material or I would stopped to help.  I went by later and he had worked it out.  It looked like he had probably driven off the edge of his driveway with two wheels and rolled in.  Glad he was ok, it had no ROP

I've also removed the roll bars off both. Nobody ever wears the seat belt so why is it necessary. lol. It'll just be something else to get in your way when you are bailing/jumping for your life.

I used to work by myself, away from home, all the time. No one knew where I even was. Worst fear was getting pinned underneath and no one around for days.

This model comes with or without arms.  I'll order you one sans.

The storms were here from 1:30-3:30.  You're about to get them now in Pell City.  Nasty, lots of lightning, and too much happening for sleep.  I went back to bed about 3:30.  Ugh.  It'll be a long day.

Smirk?  That's a knowing smile.

You know, I was going to crop this pic to face only, then I saw that tush; decided cutting it out would ruin her best feature.

LOL.

Smitty, see that elbow sand?  Now that's coarse sand.  I don't know how to classify that chert-hash-looking stuff you have on that hillside.  What's it really called when it's a jumble of hash like that?

"clean fill"

A lot of it is good chert, but there is plenty of clay and soil and crap in there too.  It is/was somewhat separated on the hill where I was stacking it, but I have used most of the good chert backfilling the trench.  I'm going to make about 200 yards more I figure when I dig into the hill again.

It is called, "You are going to spend the rest of your day picking rock soil".
