Well, today we awaken to the doldrums of college football.  Coffee
Recruits are being coy.  Coaches are haggard.  Underclassmen are considering taking the NFL cash and bolting.

Meanwhile, we have a few NFL games.  That's something anyhow.  Oh, and roundball (if it interests you).

Still in the mountains. Rained nearly all day yesterday. Calling for a little snow in the morning. Too cold to play golf. Oh well, will just have to sit here and enjoy the view.  Cheesy

Yeah, we drove through that rain all day yesterday.  It really stormed near San Blas; trees and limbs on the road (Hwy 98), and a million pine cones to dodge.  Here in Oxford it's just cold, with a forecast of flurries coming in a day or two.

Enjoy the snow, hot cocoa, and a good book.  I love mountains, but am not happy during long winter nights.

NFL??

It's snowing here right now. Just a dusting so far, with accumulation of an inch expected.

Morning Everyone. Coffee

Ole Man Winter seems to have settled in for a while with some cold air. It's not too pleasant for some, me included, but it sure beats the alternative of having warmer air with the threat of floods and tornadoes.

I watched the Wilder fight last night and I was pleasantly surprised with the commentators of the fight giving Tuscaloosa and the Crimson Tide so much love. I think the nickname of "Title Town" is very fitting for Tuscaloosa anymore. Wilder did justify the nickname as he defeated his Polish opponent with an astounding knockout in the ninth inning. We talk so much on the forum about fan support makes a difference in a teams performance, well Wilder had very little crowd support last night. The fight was held in the Bronx and was pretty much a very loud Polish crowd but Wilder let none of that hinder his fight performance.

Have a good day everyone and stay warm. Pray Cheesy

It is a grand morning as JAMOS said it is cold and hurting. Old age does not like the cold. I am sure glad we wake up to peaceful weather with none under the stress of damaging winds. Hope all have a great and Blessed day. RTR!

Got a late start leaving the mountains this morning. I have stopped in LaGrange, Ga for the night. I just couldn't drive anymore. Listened to the Seattle-Carolina game on the radio. Seattle darn near made it all the way back. Pittsburgh-Denver is a pretty good game.

I'll be watching the inside of my eyelids early tonight.

Didn't know you would be driving back so soon. Good decision on stopping and getting some rest. Take care and safe travels. Wink
