Seriously, it just came to mind while we were talking.  I saw what McCoy did in the Texas A&M game, and I was worried too.  I just said it.  Whoever knew it'd work out like it did!  If I'd thought about it I'd have more likely said "Ro will kill him."

Smitty will probably remember this pic too.  When we got to the dock going to the hotel to watch the game, we climbed out of the boat and looked up to see this old sailboat tied up.  I took out my camera and got a pic.  We decided it was a good omen, "Running Tide."  Going into the game most everyone thought we'd have to pass well to win.  Remember the stats?  "Running Tide."

I was dying to be at the game.  Both of my brothers went.  My father was there last time Bama played in the Rose Bowl (1946).  All I had was a TV, but made the most of the day.

I'm with you about CNS telling them "they had the chance of a lifetime to win the NCG".  Maybe the only one who believed him was Dareus.    Great game.

We were screaming.  I don't think anyone else in the Caribbean was watching the game, so they probably thought we were crazy.

Did you think their backup QB would survive the game?  I thought he had a dislocated shoulder on his first (was it?) pass, when he got hit while extended.

The year before last I went to LA on vacation and played golf at a course directly next to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. I went an hour before my tee time to look the place over. The plaques that are placed around the Rose Bowl are awesome. The Bama games there were recognized on those plaques. What a thrill. I remember that like it was 5 minutes ago, but couldn't tell you what my golf score was.
