We're good, Preacher. Had some hail, strong winds and lots of lightning, but no naders!  Cheesy

Ya'll ever use bait runner type reels, open face with dual drag to allow the fish to run with the bait with less drag before you pick up your pole?

I bought one a few weeks ago on sale, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet.  It seemed to me that it would be best suited for beach fishing.

Those prolly are better than us chasing a rod down the beach, as happened last week.  We should have set the drags loose to keep the tug less.  But watching 2 chase the rod was entertaining!

You know I wonder something. With all the wave action how do you know when you catch a fish? It sure is warm this morning the storms tonight must be going to strike up a doozey of some lightning. I hope everybody is safe and have a Blessed day. RTR!

The fish pull HARD, Preacher.  No confusion for most fish.

Was wondering where Chaac was hiding today.  Glad you're okay, 2!
Sorry, but I had a very busy day and missed the weather drama.

Chech, if you had taken a video of that, it would have gone viral.
You do realize I threw caution to the wind concerning my knees for your reel, don't you?  Cheesy

Looked something like this, but not nearly as graceful.  Laughing

Now I hate I missed that. What do they call that down there, sand surfing. Laughing

I think it was more like "kneeing the sand fleas".

Or maybe "BOWING TO THE SAND-FLEA GOD".

It wasn't our best moment.  Henceforth, loosen the drag!

Glad to see you have a family gathering, 2.  Hello to all.
LF will be playing at the symphony this weekend, so she has 2 days of rehearsals and a concert.  I'll catch up on chores at home.  Looks like beautiful weather, albeit cool this morning.  Flowers are everywhere!

Yeah, we've been under a pollen alert for 3 weeks now. Taking it's toll on Mrs 2. What few trees we have left in the neighborhood are blooming. Still getting tons of leaves and pollen in my pool, though.

We're about a week away from peak pollen, and yesterday's rain helped clear away some.  Suddenly it's all green on campus, with daffodils, tulips, pansies, redbuds, cherries, and spring beauties blooming everywhere.  The dogwoods are just opening.

Keep that pool clean.  I foresee a manatee in it!
