I had the XM radio on while driving to the store a minute ago.  College football talk centered on Penn State.  Blowhard says, "This year the tables are turned.  Alabama has to come to PSU and play in front of 100,000 crazies.  And Alabama will have to play a freshman QB."

This guy know something we don't?  Maybe Sims is the choice.  Grin  He went on to say, "No way will Alabama dominate like they did last year."

Wanna bet?  Bama by 17+

What station were you listening to? The Penn State Network?

Do they not know that PSU is once again trying to find a QB. Still undecided through spring drills.

The Cheat Mountain Club is on the Randolph County/Pocahontas County line. We live in Pocahontas County.

This is close to where a navy helicopter crashed last winter(2010). 4 feet of snow. The navy lowered a medic in by helicopter, but after that, they basically turned the rescue over to our guys. They went in on SnoCats and Sno-Mos as far as they could, then reached the site with snow shoes. Then the Navy took all the credit and credited us with an assist.  Lips Sealed

You dont happen to know the Butts do you?

LoL, I guess not.  I didn't know if all you WV people knew each other or not.  I am guessing you dont know the Ryder's or the Feather's either?

There people are all in demolition.  The butts are also firefighters though, as it seems about half the people in WV are.

Hello guys, I'm back from deck building.

Serious about the channel or joking?  The channel is the College talk station (XM 143 I think it is).  Satellite radio.

They seemed convinced that PSU would have a proven QB, but Bama not (LOL).  Grin

WOW.  That's great country up there.  And I enjoyed fishing the stream; loaded with trout.  You're a lucky man, WV.

Shaver's Fork. One of the best trout streams in the country. Also from there you can follow the railroad tracks back into the Twin Bridges area for native trout fishing.

Here's the deck.  We just tied the new portion onto the existing deck.  He has a new screen porch (barely visible at left), so to get to the deck (before the deck addition), you had to open doors.  Now you can walk out from his patio onto the deck.

I know, looks like me with a bag over my head.  Grin

Here I am pie-faced.  This house was hit by a tornado 3 years ago and again 1.5 years ago.  I know, I'd move away.

But I've helped him rebuild.  He's my best friend.  His barn was destroyed; now he has a big metal building instead (workshop and tack room).  His 2 horses were killed; now he has a girlfriend with 3 horses.  His pool fence was ripped away, cracking the cement and plumbing; he now has a new pool.  He has hardly any big oaks left, but in this pic you can see his field a bit behind the house.  It used to be wooded much more.

Wish I'd explored more (followed the RR tracks).  I thoroughly enjoyed the stay there.  Great food and an incredible log cabin (cabin? mansion).  I heard it changed hands after I stayed there.

Definitely guilty.  I confess.

Another tragedy came after the first tornado.  The insurance people would only pay $12k on his out buildings (pool house, barn, shop, etc).  He thought they were covered 80% (wrong).  Then they paid only for the square footage of each part of each room damaged.  There was a tree through his roof, right over his bed.  They came and measured the hole in the roof to estimate damage coverage, then only paid for the square footage damaged.  They didn't pay for a new roof, just patchwork.  Some fleabag insurance company.  I don't remember the name.  He lost his entire savings, and now has a huge loan to pay off.
