Frog pond (featuring a diving board), small little vegetable garden in the shallow end.  Undecided

Mud still rules the day but the situation is improving.  Not sure you can tell by the updated photo but here it is.

Now bamawv and TeamJackson are buddying up. TeamJackson is the gayest poster over there.
TJ flagged me down and we exchanged brief hellos. Then this barner comes here and says that about TJ. Why is this CF not banhammered to smithereens?

Obviously he's banned. A mod/admin is posting for him here now apparently.

Nobody gets permanently banned.  Just the way it is.  Ignore him.

So, are you using 2"X12" TO MAKE 8X4 BOXES. I had a bunch of those at one time. It take a lot of fill, especially by the bag, to fill those up. Feed and seed places usually sell composted manure/mushroom compost by the bucket load (bobcat).

1.28 a bag for top soil at wal marks, 16 of those, A bucket of clay-cherty crap (there was some left over, maybe 2/3 of a bucket), and a few of those 1.5 sq ft miracle grow bags that you mix with other soil.

Yes, it was a lot of of dirt.

That's the girls project, she did it all, except I hauled the dirt around with the tractor (and provided close oversight with the circular saw).

Well it looks great, and the plants will thank you.

You can plant most anything around the perimeter of that "pond".  If you want true wetland plants, most won't bloom (Typha, sedges and rushes), but those that do are great (iris, meadow beauty, cardinal flower).  You should just google wetland plants and see what you like.  Most are easy to find and will grow readily there if the pond level is consistent.

I had about 10 of those, years ago. Even a couple of 8x12s. Embarrassed to say how much work and money. Woman watching too much HGTV

Thanks, see the edit, the girl did it.

As for the pond, that is the water table.  I couldnt change it if I wanted too.  There is a good amount of much in the bottom, but those angled sides are that spray sand/portland crap, I used to know the name of it...  It carves out easily, debating removing it, but the frogs have caves in it.

I fell in yesterday removing the liner, it's just above knee high.

She did really well, the hardest part was getting her to follow through the cut.
