Well, I'm up again. Rough night. Went back to bed and the smoke detector started squealing. No smoke, no fire. Then it quit, but the damage to my sleep psyche is done.

Another very busy day in store for me today. Tomorrow should be lighter. Hoping for golf. Then early football on Saturday after a morning appointment. Looking forward to that.

Once again, y'all have a nice day!

Time change -- change batteries.  HTH

Walk out to your car and take a 2PM nap.  Should work.  Might help to park car at a golf course.

 Laughing

If I did that today, my mission would be over. I'm taking the place of an agent who has cancer, in a Walmart store in Simpsonville, SC. We pay to put agents in these stores, so my business partners prolly wouldn't appreciate me doing that.

Good morning folks.  2, I hope you are able to get some rest.  Chech, good luck fishing.  If I were going I wouldn't be looking for bass to be deep yet.  They should still be chasing baitfish trying to put on some additional fat for the winter.  Shallow points that run long toward deeper water would be a good pacle to start.  RipRap should be another very good pacle to look too, especially if it is facing the east as those rocks should start warming first.  As I said, good luck.  Just leave a few for seed...  Wink

I mentioned a while back that I have tickets to the Chattanooga game.  I have two and am looking for someone to take the second if y'all know anyone looking for a ticket...

Me too.   Cry

I'll be right there, in Northport, at a family gathering for early Thanksgiving.  Thank God we'll have a TV.  Otherwise I'd love to accept the offer, NALT.

I am going to the store with Mrs Dottie today and see if I can handle the cash register. lol, yes I know what your all thinkings. Hope you all have a Blessed day. RTR!

BAD NEWS (via Woolly):

Now Cotton also has a concussion, and Alphonse Taylor still isn't able to play.
We're in deep doo-doo on the O-line.
Where's that 'prayer to heal Taylor' that Ricky was preparing??

Good morning.  Coffee

Today is fishing day.  But we don't start fishing until this afternoon.  I've never fished Highlands Lake, but know it was stocked with Florida bass when it was dammed about 10 years ago.  And I've seen photos of the big bass my host has caught there.  Unfortunately the weather turned cold this week, so I expect the fish to be lethargic.

Last night DUKE upset UNC 28-27.  Cutcliffe did an excellent job preparing Duke for the game, and they played well.  This ruins UNC's chance at winning the conference; VT has the lead in the Coastal Division now.

Alabama's basketball future took a huge stride forward yesterday with the signing of top players for the 2017 season.  WOOT.

I hope you catch a bass or two that is almost as big as that one Chech.  Good luck to you...

Thanks, NALT.  Just hope we catch SOMETHING.  I think your suggestion to fish spinner baits with willow-leaf blades is a goodie.  A noisy, slow bait might be the key.

You mentioned that it has turned off cold.  If that is due to a cold front then throw that bait really close to any structure that you can find. Bass like to hold tight to any cover they can find right after a front moves through...

That bass looks like it swallowed a Volkswagon.

Huge haul for CAJ last night and the Dukies pulled off the upset. More football tomorrow. Life's good unless you're an OG for Bama.

Banging your head against the wall.  Maybe better helmets?

Good advice.  Only structure seems to be piers; definitely try under those.

Well, work got in the way of golf yesterday, so we will be trying it again today. Will have to watch the replay of the second half of the game. Life on the road, ugh!
