None of the weather guys can get it together enough to say when it will be here.  Now weather.com says noon.

For two weeks in a row we had warnings during dancing with the stars, weather guy here was apologizing constantly and one point said "Jesus loves all of us anyway", referring to the attack emails.

DANGEROUS SEVERE WEATHER THREAT TODAY: This has the potential to be one of those red letter severe weather days in Alabama. We don't say that to panic anybody, but simply to let you know that parameters have come together for a very significant outbreak of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms across most of Alabama. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a rare "high risk" of severe weather for a good part of North and Central Alabama.

TIMING: Showers and storms are possible this morning across our state; most of these formed late yesterday to the west, and arrived in Alabama during the early morning hours. While these storms could be severe in spots, the main threat of the really serious severe weather will come from about 12:00 noon until 12:00 midnight. We can't give you specific arrival times for various communities since the storms will initially be cellular in nature, and they will tend to develop in rather random locations. The storms should then evolve into a long squall line tonight, exiting the state around midnight.

FOX news has SKY news on, CNN had David Frost this morning. I thought someone had hacked into my cable TV.

Someone hacked into your TV to force you to watch British programming?  That's funny.

Is anyone writing all these down?  I am going to launch a career in sketch comedy later on in life.

Tornado warning in tuscaloosa and north (fayette, marion, greene, etc, no one lives over there)

My weather channel does that emergency "beeping", even when the weather is fine. These people have figured out that folks run in from the other room to see what is wrong. Like the phone ringing on the bionic hearing aid commercial or the radio ad playing a police siren while you are driving. These things force your attention.

I hate radio ads with sirens, that really should be illegal, horns too.  I asked a marketing guy about it one time (not 2) and he said (paraphrasing) "sorry, it works".

I get half my sleep napping at my desk with the TV in the background. I can sleep through Days of Thunder without waking up. But let the weather channel beep, a phone ringing on TV, or God forbid a siren, and I'm awake.
