Good morning folks.  Cold here too with light rain.  I sure wish Chech would close the door at the state line so all that cold would have to go north into Tenrsea instead of plowing right through Alabama...  I haven't filled out a bracket yet.  Might try and do that tonight...

I got a robo-call about an hour ago from the school Superintendent saying that "a student who had been banned from campus was spotted close to campus this morning and the school was put on temporary lock-down."  The matter had been reported to the sheriff's office who deemed that there was no credible threat so the lock-down was lifted.  I also got a call from the sheriff's investigator working on this case asking if it would be ok for him to take a statement from my son who claims to have heard the threat that was made against the school last Friday.  I consented but haven't heard anything from that yet.  Hopefully this will all just go away soon and we can get back to our normally chaotic daily routine...

What a waste of time that was.  They looked like they didn't want to be there.  One play in particular stood out to me were we had 3 guys standing under the goal just looking around waiting for the other guy to do something and the little short Richmond guy walks in there and gets the rebound.

Thanks for posting, NALT. Not the kind of notoriety you want for your community, but looks like everyone could learn from this situation.

There are a lot of parents in our community (I could be one of them, maybe?) that are really ignorant.  They seem to want the school system to notify CNN, FOXNEWS, and DRUDGE any time someone sneezes while in the same room as their innocent little angel.  I personally would rather the school do what it takes to make a situation safe and then re-group and notify parents instead of stopping in the middle of it to call "mommy" and "daddy"...

Well NALT is partly right. I was cold but now I am inside. It was 24 this morning at 9 AM when I left to go to the store. Looking forward to the fun of the Big Dance Challenge and also seeing how far our TIDE goes in the NIT. RTR!

Awww shoot. I really thought after the USCe and KY. games we would do better than the first round. It seems though that our first round loss every time the team goes deep in the tourney. RTR!

Look on the bright side.  When/if we make it to the second round of the NIT before we lose then the fans will be happy with the success.  If they make it to the 3rd round then Coach Johnson will likely get a couple of years added to his contract...
