We had another heavy storm come through about an hour ago. Heavy rain and lightning. Looks like it's all over now. I just hope the base golf course isn't cart path only.

The storms here cleared out, and we have blue skies at daylight (and chilly).

Heading over to help my buddy build his deck today.
His is only 16 X 12, so we'll use 16' decking boards; should go fast once we have the joists in place.

Otherwise, preparing for the trip west.  Lots of trout out there this year, and they all need to be caught!

I always keep some Bio-Freeze with me, especially on golf outings. Doesn't take much to irritate my sciatic nerve. It works very well.

Glad each of you didn't have any of the bad stuff with the weather, we got a pretty good soaking with we needed pretty bad. Chech, I hear they have raised the red flags for the fish out West knowing that you are on your way out there soon. I know you are anxious to get on your way as you should be. 2, maybe it is get even time on the course today to get your money back, hope so any way.

Mrs. J and I have really been in a quarry as to the idea of selling the place. Last Saturday we drove all over the area in search of something that we could be happy with to live in and didn't have much luck, very disappointed to say the least. On Sunday, I contacted the couple that had shown interest in buying the place hoping that maybe they had changed their minds about buying and I got my wish. They own a business and to finance the house, it would pretty much max out their credit line which wouldn't be in the best interest for their business. I said a quick prayer when they told me this.

BUT, yesterday we met with our financial guy, and he told us that 2 folks in our neighborhood are moving.  House prices just jumped a bunch (almost doubled in 3 years).  Made us think anyhow; but NO.

Hope it works out for y'all, J.  Tough decisions.
Maybe you'd better jump back into that dumpster for your stuff!!

Lol!! Actually Mrs. J has realized that getting rid of all of that "junk" wasn't a bad idea after all. I think she always thought the kids would want the stuff as keepsakes and found out different. We were shown a nice price value of our place but found out real quick that money isn't everything but having some privacy is worth a lot.

Good morning folks.  I haven't checked on our weather yet.  We were supposed to get rain yesterday but it never happened until sometime this morning early.  We are supposed to go to a Mustang car show this morning and they are supposed to have a snake pit.  That is an area set aside for only Cobra Mustangs.  This afternoon we are going to Guntersville to see a couple of Elvis impersonators.  One of them is a double-amputee and performs that way, without his prosthetics.   Runt was able to perform his Elvis impersonation last night.  He had a blast.  I'll get the files uploaded to YouTube and post the links for you all when I can.

Well I am glad everybody had a safe week. Mrs Dottie is taking up 2's idea and getting that BioFreeze on her back and leg. The male Redbird was on our porch this morning and he was just a talking to me. Man was he bright. The female dog is about to drop pups and it is a sad story I have to get rid of her and the pups we can't afford them. Her and the boy that got killed on Hwy. 78 were dropped out on us and we didn't have the heart to run them off. Now we have to when she does the mama thing. Sure is a pretty Black & Tan hunting dog. OK yall golf, build decks and go to the games we are doing a sit in today and go visit the church where my dad and mom are buried tomorrow. God Bless. RTR!

Watched lots of softball yesterday.  Ole Miss won it all, after being the 8th seed.  Crazy.  Alabama had a chance themselves, but lost to Ole Miss yesterday morning.

BTW, here's a worse one.  My neighbor, who's about 50, yesterday was painting his new shed from a ladder.  A wasp stung him, and he fell; ON HIS WIFE.  Compression fracture of her lower vertebrae.  She was released from the hospital last night.
HE WILL HAVE A VERY TOUGH DAY TODAY!!
