Good morning, small group of 4-5 fans.   

NALT, hope you managed to get the van home safely (and cheaply).  I wouldn't pay $400 either!

One of our fishing buddies leaves for home today (South Carolina).  That leaves just 4 of us to catch all the fish!  Today we're heading back to Hebgen Lake, then tomorrow we'll go into the Lamar Valley again to try for cutthroat trout (Lamar River).  It's always beautiful there, even when the fish don't cooperate.  It's the pacle where I caught 91 trout in 3 days July 5-7. 

Crazy that Davis was shot.  More to that story yet to come.  Late night in Tuscaloosa used to be breakfast at the Waffle House.  Now it's the old-west shootout.  WTH??

Good morning folks.  I did get the van home.  I borrowed a truck from my next door neighbor and a trailer from another friend.  I wound up putting almost $50 in gas in the truck along with 3 quarts ($21) of oil but we made it without a hitch.  We even managed to haul it to a repair shop we use and dropped it off there.  My guess is that they will have a time figuring out what the problem is/was...

Preacher, I hope you manage to get your yard cut before it gets too high.  Good luck with the fishing Chech.  I sure enjoy the pics you post.

Good morning all! Back from my walk. It was a very nice 65 degrees when I started. Fall is in the air.

I talked to my cousin in Houston last night. He is one of the lucky ones. High and dry and power still on. Much of Houston is a disaster area. Prayers to all those affected.

NALT, glad you got the van to where you needed. Hopefully, the problem won't be something major.

Chech, go ahead and catch you a bunch more!

Well the PT has just come by and Mrs Dottie is doing super great. Some pain but is walking some without walker. I am home sick today the old flu symptoms sneezing, coughing, headache, sore throat. Trying chicken stew and pedialyte. The old fashion cough medicine the VA hasn't given me a flu shot till Sept. You all be careful. RTR!

We're off to YNP to cross over Dunraven Pass into the Lamar Valley.  We're hunting for pronghorn, bears, and cutthroat trout.  Should be a beautiful day.

Well we didn't get they yard cut. Still hampered by this head cold I guess it is. Today the sun is shining and Mrs Dottie is walking without her Walker some now and it is good the Lord has brought her this far. We was just talking this morning that it is football season again so on Saturday's Eli comes on and watch what we can on the computer. You all have a grand day. RTR!

Successful day. I got them all through their certifications. 4 hours on the road, however, and Lancaster is in the middle of nowhere. 

4 days til kickoff. Can't wait!!!

Cool here this morning, but not cold (45).  It was 37 yesterday morning, then 91 when we walked back from the river.  Pretty hot for here.

Looks like the hurricane remnants will pass over northern Mississippi in a couple of days.  Hope it doesn't get nasty for you guys.

Chech, that's quite a temperature swing. Obviously, you're wearing layers and I'm guessing a tee shirt underneath it all?

Well, yesterday I knew it'd get hot.  We had a 70-min drive to the river, so by the time we got there it was almost 50 degrees.  We had a mile walk out from the road to the fishing hole, so I wore my raincoat over my fishing shirt; plenty warm by the time we got there.  I was sweating by the time we arrived back at the car (in just a fishing shirt).  And got sunburned.  Good day!
