7:39 EDT. Woke up from power nap. No kids, woman gone. Finally left me? Kidnapping? Emergency room? IDK. I'm giving them 10 more minutes, then I'm eating ALL the ice cream.

Quick question about the woman situation: has either chech or smitty been seen in the area? If so, well .....
Suspicious. Brosky?

I was hoping to spare you some pain, but if ol' Bill is there, then sayonara to the missus .....

I have nothing new to report.  Just played in the back with a drainage ditch (this is a new ditch we have not discussed I think) I'm trying to fix for several hours.  Dont want to make a mess out of the front.

Hey Guys, I didn’t see a thread anywhere so I posted here.

As you may know I have a 21 year old son, one of my dogs and several friends, doing Search and Rescue in North Alabama.   They have been up since their arrival last Wednesday at 3:38am and have been commissioned through at least next Wednesday.  They have been from one side of the state to the other with little rest.  My son has texted with some of the sites they have encountered, I will spare the graphics but a 21 year old probably wasn’t ready for what he has seen.   I can’t express how proud I am as a father for what he is doing.

Please keep these guys in your prayers along with all the victims of this terrible tragedy.

Thanks,

How do I get crawdads in my drainage ditches?  Where do they come from?  I find it odd.  Think someone caught one and put them in the pond at one point?  Or do they spontaneously generate?

We boiled 110lbs last Sunday.  I am going to Breaux Bridge LA Friday to the Crawfish Festival.  I can bring back some seed if you would like.   Wink

Lets not look a gift crustacean in the mouth here. YP bring some corn, I'll throw in some potatoes, smitty catches them suckers out of his drainage ditch, get a big pot of water boiling, and voila! Instance crawfish boil at smitty's place. Oh, and someone bring the brewskis.

With 3 bonfires.  I dont drink, but I can dig yall a hole for the keg.  I always wanted to put a keg in a hole of ice.  Does that work?

I like it. Gives off a rustic feel. I am pretty sure that is how the soldiers during the Civil War iced down their brews between battles.

That is the most I recall you ever posting, YP. I am sure there were days that you questioned your parenting skills. Today is not one of them. Roll Tide.

False alarm. Sorry. Summer clothes shopping. BTW, it turns out they now make phones that can fit in your pocket. Who knew? What is left of the ice cream is now back in freezer, hidden under the frozen hash brown bag.

This guy has been visiting my feeder.

... and he's out there again this afternoon.

Do you make bird noises?

I was installing a pipe under a runway one time and I was using the excavator to guide the pipe while they pulled it through, anyway, there was a lot of lag time and the two other guys down there, one was a geologist and the other was a horizontal driller (not like WV, the kind that do utilities under roads), anyway, they discovered they both loved birds and started talking birds.  After a while they were making bird noises to each other and sharing exciting bird experiences.  I could barely do my job it was so effing hilarious, I specifically remember being in tears and trying to hide it and dropping my crossword in the mud...

Remind me about that one when I finally start writing sketch comedy.
