Use your broom to shoo them away when they come.  [warning: sarcasm]

Yeah, you guys were up all hours last night.  I got up at 4:00 and waited an hour before anyone awakened.  Smitty must have crashed already.  I'll go soon.

Nighty night to you, WV.

Hey Guys, I didn’t see a thread anywhere so I posted here.

As you may know I have a 21 year old son, one of my dogs and several friends, doing Search and Rescue in North Alabama.   They have been up since their arrival last Wednesday at 3:38am and have been commissioned through at least next Wednesday.  They have been from one side of the state to the other with little rest.  My son has texted with some of the sites they have encountered, I will spare the graphics but a 21 year old probably wasn’t ready for what he has seen.   I can’t express how proud I am as a father for what he is doing.

Please keep these guys in your prayers along with all the victims of this terrible tragedy.

Thanks,
     YP
 Angel

he had a fine example to learn from , like they say when the apple falls it isn't far from the tree .
he has grown some Pup , actually probably a lot .
I remember when my oldest son turned 21 and the time afterward , I call it "the change"

my boy went through his growth event in Iraq and Afghanistan
it's a cool transformation to see happen from a Dad's prospective
I went from knowing very little to knowing everything in a couple of years according to his
point of view .
the day he told me "Dad , I don't know how you did it all those years " was a great day .
I knew then he had arrived , he was a man ...

Hug your Son for me Pup when you see him tell him thanks , good stuff your boy is doing
but you taught him right didn't you ? thank you as well , good job Dad .

Prayers Sent ...

Thanks for the kind words, I just spoke to the boy and he is back in Ttown.  They are stationed at the fire college for now.

I think I saw him start showing some signs of maturing last month when he told my mother “Nana, I wish I would have listened to daddy when he said ………”  Even though hell would freeze over before he ever told me that.   Smiley
 Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing this story, YP.  My boy is 24; I understand.
