Companies are forced (by trial lawyers frivolent lawsuits) to take drastic measures. If you have nothing to hide...

meh, I may want something to hide some day.  I take my personal liberty very seriously. 

I take these tests two or 3 times a year, it's no big deal, but if they were popping them on me like I was a criminal and sniffing at my car I would find somewhere else to work.

Blame the dope heads, not the companies.

Random testing is a blue collar thing.  I have never been subject to it.  We are required to have one a year for most contracts.  I end up usually taking one for every new contract I start on since lately that has been more frequent than yearly. 

The rig crews are tested, but our guys are not. Too high up and hard to repacle.

WV, I hope you weren't one of the guys calling me an idiot on the TS Gulf Oil Spill forum.  I forgot who they were (fortunately), but someone with drilling experience kept insisting that oil floats (all of it), so cleanup would be easy.

Not me. But I do have questions about you!

I think I ranted some about the press coverage. They kept dragging out that stock footage of one oily pelican and showing it over and over. It was like they (the media) were hoping for the worst.
