So CAT, if you want to borrow my hat for Derby, feel free. Try not to let heavy women sit on it.

You threw me for a minute.  You must be reading back a few pages.
Glad you mentioned it.  I'll pull out my Panama hat (bought in Ecuador).  So I won't need yours this year.  And I won't sit next to fat women if I remove my hat, or let them sit on my head if I'm wearing it.
I always liked to pair a frontrunner (horse ) with a longshot as a bet. Generally try to find a horse that has recently moved up in class as my longshot.

Post me your picks, and I'll try them at the party.  Hopefully we get to pick our horses.  Last one of these parties I attended, they picked names from a hat - YUCK.  PC.

I've shared this before, but at one time it was a pottery school or some crap, so it's homemade for the most part.

I took this first photo to open discussion about what I should do about the power pole.  But if you look closely in the right bottom just below the sump you can see a wet spot.

Well, this wet spot is inexplicable.  There is a drain line that runs near there, so I decided to dig it up.  I run into a mysterious 1" PVC pipe.  This is not uncommon around the pacle, except this one is leaking slightly.

So, I notice a T and pry on it slightly with the shovel to check the direction and BAM!

So I get the water shut off, had to go to the street.  So I assume that it is related to the water spigot you can see in the background, well, on this side of the spigot buried there was a shut off valve.  YEAH! Right?

NO!!  I shut off the valve and turned on the water and guess what?  The mysterious line in the yard feeds the spigot, silly me, I assumed it came from the house that it's right next to.

Exposed the whole like and opened up the T.  The line I guess runs out of the house on the other side and comes around to feed the spigot.

Where ever the other end goes will no longer have water.  Undecided  Huh?  Angry

Red circle is the inexplicable wet spot.  The obvious wet spot by the sump is a work in progress.

So let's be clear. Since the water line is now shut off, you'll have to now look for an inexplicable dry spot to see where it went?

Leroy!

Coach crisp too, nice.

Yeah, I doubt I will ever know where that line went.  I am guessing they had another spigot somewhere and the shut off is buried, idk.

Smitty, that looks like a nightmare, and A LOT OF WORK.  You must be exhausted.

Meanwhile, during the AM I helped friend rip up his depot bathroom floor, then we drove a load of general barn crap (rotted wood, hunks of concrete, feed bags, bent gate and panels) on the flatbed trailer to the depot and tossed it into the rented dumpster.

This afternoon I accompanied LF (and her hat) to the Derby party.  As feared, we tossed in a dollar and drew a horse from the hat.  I drew Decisive Moment.  He stayed on the rail, and was 2nd at one point, then 3rd along the rail at the head of the stretch.  He was right in position to win.  Then he faded and finished 14th.  Sad  LF had a mint julip.  I had lemonade.  The food was good.  Cheesy

I've been busy posting cocktail dresses and derby hats in the "Kentucky Derby In-Game". But sure.
