It's warm outside, no dew.

We've had frost the last couple mornings.  Warmer today (43). Sprinkling.

When I said warm, it's 59.

I'll dress up the yard as much as I can.  Maybe try and burn the piles some.  Pack up and drive to huntsville this evening.

What is your outlook on that? Dread or anticipation?

Mixed, but only because I am having so much fun around here.  It will be fine once we get started, I am a machine in the field. 

I found an apartment but I cant move in until June 1st

Month to month lease?

Yeah it's made for guys like me.  Efficiency, executive furnished (hopefully that means decent stuff), month to month, near the arsenal, 650.

Sounds cheap, but it's a nice area, huntsville housing is just cheap for some reason.  When I was in grad shcool up there my rent was 345 for 1 bdrm

The oil companies rent me a 110' house trailer on location. 2 guys (night dd/day dd). Pots, pans, plates, w/d, maid service. Basic set up except usually two big desks in LR, and living room has big Lazy boys and big TV (w/satellite). In Texas, they always come with extra AC units (in addition to central air). Windows blocked out with sheet insulation.

Yeah, I have seen those parked in there where they're drilling.  I did some work on that active chevron field east of midland/odessa.  I dont remember the name but I do remember it was 280,000 acres.

Probably one ranch. Amazing how big some ranches are out there. BTW, Permian basin.

I've made this trip more than 20 times.  It's an isolated island, so if I need something for fishing I'd better have it with me.  Other than that, it's just a list from Aralen (meds.) to Ziplock bags.
