What time you planning to hit the highway?

Soon I guess.  Going to stop by the hotel and drop off my stuff, maybe chill a minute, then the office I have to go to is over in decatur about 30 minutes away.  Plenty of time.
We have a couple days every so often, for instance when setting casing. If a guy lives close he can go home and then check in every so often to see when he needs to be back. You too? Or are you gone for good until project ends?

I have to be there while subsurface work is occurring, but we are only working 5 days a week.  I'll be home friday night.  It's only like 90 miles, on the edge of commutable so I can run home any night I feel like it.

Long ago I did a project that is maybe similar. I was on the strategic protroleum reserve wells in Sulphur, LA. Shallow wells into the salt domes (we call them post holes). Finish one, skid over, drill another. Only time I worked for the government. Never again.

Yep.  I think the depths are 200 to 80' or something.  Pretty sure they are spread out though.  I bid on this project last summer so that's the only reason I know anything really.

Wow.  My cousin and I both worked on the SPR site at West Hackberry.  Small world.  Brown & Root had that contract work, if I remember correctly.

Seems these SPR wells were around 3000'-3500'. Long time ago.

Maybe pouty. I'm going with confuddled about why she didn't get her way, which correlates with poutiness.

I was there during the 80s.  The salt domes were being hollowed by that time; huge fire hoses blasting at the walls of salt, and pumps removing the brine.  Nasty.  Guess they're full of crude by now.

Whatever the emotion, I like her, moles and all.

They could put that on the market now, then replenish it when the price goes back down.

I've heard it discussed, but it seems to be set aside for times of severe shortage, not for price buffering.
