So Chech, are you sold on Roundup for weed killing. I've been disappointed and found others (Bayer, Ortho) that work as well or better. These, as I recall, were even cheaper, in the concentrated form.

Roundup works well, but it's WAAAAY overpriced.  There are many generic brands now; Ortho is one.  I don't know Bayer.

Maybe you can help me with this too.  I use 2-4-D on poison ivy, but (of course) it doesn't kill grasses, shrubs, or trees.  I've used "Brush" on shrubs, but it's not very satisfactory.  I need something to paint onto holly bushes and other small trees (Black Gum, Holly) when I cut them.  What works for that?

IDK. But I try to kill something with weed killer before I cut it down, since the poison is generally absorbed through the leaves. Call Lee Harvey-- down by the creek?

All I find in googling is "Tough Brush Killer (triclopyr)" as a product available to the public.  I've tried it with mixed results.  Supposedly you can spray it on stems and stumps after you cut the shrub, but I still have pop-up shoots.  It's a pain.

***The Ticks are Active***

First the trees are down, and now the ticks are up.  Pulled 2 off today.  Beware, the little parasites are waiting for you.

Not too shabby either, WV. Gorgeous pics. I can't believe through all my traveling that I have never been to W. Virginia. I'll have to plan a toad trip there.

Jeez, the fall foliage was so beautiful, I didn't notice the train before. I have heard of Snowshoe. Supposed to be one of the best ski resorts in the East.

I did a VA Hospital renovation project in Beckley, WV in the mid 80's. Beautiful place and very nice people. I was there about 6 months. I was out of there by winter.

Definitely the best Skiing in the mid-atlantic (by a mile). All that is within a "stones throw". My property has epic views in all directions. One more tourist stop (1.2 miles away):

National Radio Astronomy Observatory-- largest fully steerable dish-- 473 ft. tall, 3/4 acre dish face.
