Not too shabby either, WV. Gorgeous pics. I can't believe through all my traveling that I have never been to W. Virginia. I'll have to plan a toad trip there.

I did a VA Hospital renovation project in Beckley, WV in the mid 80's. Beautiful place and very nice people. I was there about 6 months. I was out of there by winter.

Yeah, when I visit, you can bet it won't be in the winter. I couldn't stand those in the SC Uptsate, WV would be much worse.

Yep. "We have Green Bank on line" line from the movie "Contact".

About 10 years ago I put in an application for "Dish Operator". They said, "will train". Some Navy communications guy got the job (local fellow). But at that time I was working on the rigs and wanted to find a way home. But imagine this-- the martians finally decide to contact Earth and get BAMAWV on the phone.

Just received a punch in the gut. A very good friend of mine was diagnosed in 2005 with terminal brain cancer. He beat it. Up until this year he went every 6 weeks for MRI's until it was completely gone. His wife and us were seeing a mental deterioration in him so his wife set up another MRI. They just got the results back and he has lost 50% of his brain due to atrophy and radiation. His diagnosis is that it will continue until he has the mind of a child. Very, very sad. He had beaten all odds and now this. Really tough on him and his wife. If you feel inclined to do so, say a prayer for them.

I'm sorry, 2.  I'll include him in my prayers.

Thanks Chech. I'm on my way over to see them so I'll be off-line a while.

Sorry to upload photos amidst the somber mood.  I had started uploading them before I read your message, 2, and have to run now.  Prayers.

These guys are safe enough (not really harmless, because if you insert your fingers, well ...).  Usually they are only out and available for pics during the night, but I found this one down about 17-20'.  I kept making dives for 20 minutes to get a pic of its mouth open.  He wore me out.  Two days later I returned to this pacle, and he was there, but facing the other way and amidst dead coral - ugh.  This nice green sponge around him is a much better frame.
