Let me guess. Bobcat got to bobbing?

No, nothing like that, I pulled into that warehouse to load a truck and the truck wasnt there yet, so I backed out.  Then I realized I was in the way so I backed up some more and turned.  Never saw it til I heard it.

They had 20'x20' rolls of carpet at that Coal Show. I drove a fork truck but it also had a long pole/bar attachment for lifting rolls of carpet. After the show ended I helped some guys load a truck with carpet. Turned out they were thieves.

The news about Uganda caught my eye, not just because the bizarre nature of the pink, but because I've been reading books about early safari days in Africa.  I strongly recommend "African Hunter" by Bror Blixen.  It's the best description of big-game hunting I've ever read, and modestly written.  He discusses the choices of rifles and the nature of selecting the target.

Blixen was the oft-absent husband in "Out of Africa".  He defined big-game hunting of the early 20th Century.

"Bror was the toughest, most durable white hunter ever to snicker at the fanfare of safari or to shoot a charging buffalo between the eyes while debating whether his sundown drink would be gin or whiskey."

Oops.

I have a friend who is in recovery, who tells a story about his dad getting him a job at a plant.  He is born very wealthy so any work he does is "character building" anyway, first day he hits a conveyor belt in a forklift and shuts the whole plant down.  They make him take a drug test and he failed.  He worked there for like 2 hours.  It's funnier when he tells it.

See why I hate 1st day(s) on the job? If you'd been there a month or two you wouldn't be worrying. It'll pass. Crappy little building anyway.

No, I will take full responsibility.  It's how I roll.  Conscience must be clear.

You're right though, it's a crappy little building in a terrible pacle with no bollards or anything.

Never consider being a lawyer, huh?  Just guessing.

I dated a lawyer back in the 80s.  If I even got a bottle of bad milk she wanted to sue somebody.

The corner post didnt move, just the second 2x4 got pushed back on the bottom and the crappy vinyl got crinkled.  My hope is that they say it was already like that.  Or just blow it off.  If it turns into an incident it will be a huge pain in the ass and the client is the type to do that.  We'll see.

Smitty, this doesn't warrant such attention.  If someone at the job site brings it up, they're the ones with insecurity issues.  This is a non-issue, really.  Nobody's perfect.  It was a mistake.
