I hope your sermon goes well Preacher.

For the record though, with your history of health issues I would suggest that you stick to going to church at your usual pacle and don't mingle, shake hands, hug, etc. with anyone.   Socially distance yourself.  It could save your and Mrs. Dottie's life...

Hey NALT I was requested by this church if I would come preach for them today. They don't have a Pastor so I just use hand wiping stuff and pray the Lord takes care of us. Thanks for the thoughts though. RTR!

The Church of England has suspended all services, Preacher. Some churches are streaming services and people are asked to pray at home. Hope this never happens in America.

That is exactly what is happening here. Most churches have suspended church activities with small staff only services being taped or streamed for in home worship. The things that do and should happen in church are the exact things we are told to avoid right now. No need to go to church if you can not shake hands and sing/spit on the person in front of you.

Good for you, Preacher. But times are changing. I remember in the Episcopal Cjurch we attended in Jacksonville and many others, the preacher served communion wine to everyone from the same cup going down the line. I doubt that'll ever happen again.

Times are indeed changing, OT. One of the guys I played golf with today really got me thinking. He said he thinks that the positive side of all this is that it will unite us all. He may be right. The divisiveness in politics has all but stopped.

We usually are at our best when things are at it's worst. Just ask anybody that's been through a serious hurricane or tornado. If the selfish among us will just stop hoarding TP and ground beef, I'll be a believer.

Good morning.

Not sleeping well.  Maybe it's the stress, maybe the aches of walking hills, maybe the weather...

Anyhow, one constant: RAIN.  It rained all day yesterday, and again overnight.  LF and I thought we could get a 3-mi walk in after dinner last night, but after a mile the rain returned.  Ugh.

Just to ensure I include more than 2 topics (re Ricky): 1. I need to get out to play golf; 2. watch a wolf; 3 catch a fish; 4. go to a church-like service; 5. replay the Michigan bowl game; 6. read some NALTY jokes...

Thanks buddy.  Toast 2

I've already listed 2 knives on Ebay today.  BTW, should you need a knife, or if you just want to be entertained by witty marketing strategies, look up Chech's EBay site.  Guess what, his EBay name is "chechem".

Go to Google.  Enter: "chechem" "ebay" knife
Select a horseman knife or sheffield knife (both currently for sale)
That opens Ebay to that listing.
To the right below seller name is seller's "see other items"

Good morning folks.  I didn't sleep very well last night either.  Mine isn't stress so much though.  Well, actually it is.  I slept pretty well from about 9:30-1:30 then Mrs. Nalt came into the bedroom and turned on the overhead lights saying that she needed me to help her find her eyeglasses.  Banging your head against the wall.  So I get up, get my flashlight and follow her to the den.  She had fallen asleep on the couch watching tv so we start searching all over, under, and around it.  Nothing.  I get up and look over on the snack counter looking into the kitchen.  Runt had removed her glasses before he went to sleep because he didn't want her to lose them.   Banging your head against the wall.  That was good of him but he didn't put them in the designated place for such.  Yes, that really does exist.  So now that she knew where they were I was released to go back to bed.  I tossed and turned until about 3:30 or 4:00.  My alarm was set for 5:00.  So now I'm working on doing some online training for work by listening to some extreme computer nerd lecturing while I'm trying to stay awake...

Oh, and yes, it is raining here too... Banging your head against the wall.

I've looked for my glasses, then found them on my face.   Embarrassed

OT you are right in uniting. It is really a thing of the heart. Making for of the aubs is fun but when it gets serious I have to pray for them just all others even the ones in our church. Regardless I think this is perfect opportunity for some to close services like the world wants now a days. God Bless everybody stay dry. It has been pouring here since early morning and thundering and lightning. RTR!
