This is the LSU team that was beated 40-13 by Tennessee. They improved through the year while Bama got worse.

Preacher, are you really putting this loss on Saban?  I mean, yes, he did hire the OC and DC but he doesn't hold their hands and call the plays for them.  IMO, he allows them the freedom to direct their particular teams but at the end of the day (game), it is them who cost us the game last night.  It will be on Saban's win/loss record but it wasn't his fault because of a lack of intensity...just my $0.02...

When has Saban ever fired a coordinator Preacher?  I can't think of any that he has sent packing personally.  The only criticism I would offer towards him is that he does seem to have taken a step back from the hands-on coaching of the DBs like he did not that long ago.  Maybe that is the difference in his defenses, maybe not.  But with the talent we have had the last couple of years there is no way that we should have lost even one game over the last 3 seasons IMO.

As for being the butt of jokes, it has always been that way with some fanbases. I think that started with Shula then Mike Price added loads of fuel to that fire.  So be it.  We make fun of other schools, Barners, Corndogs, etc.  Why should we be exempt from being made fun of?  All due respect for you Preacher but you of all people being that thin skinned is surprising and honestly a bit disappointing. Sorry if I'm being too harsh.  Just speaking (posting) my mind...

We didn't play well enough to deserve a win Saturday night, but Saban's decision to go for a 2pt conversion when up 21-17 was just a boneheaded move.  That's not me judging after the fact, I said it to 5 people at the time he did it.  We took so much pressure off them.   We win 25-24 in regulation if he just takes the PAT.

Whatever sheet he was claiming to look at for that decision needs an update.

Unfortunantly it's a Monday.  Looking forward to getting past this day too.

I remember when Bear Bryant went 9-3 in 1976 some said he was too old and had lost his spirit. Even said he should consider calling it quits. He didn't and the next year went 11-1 and in 1978 and in 1979 won the national championship (number 1 on the AP).

I agree with you. This year has been ugly there has to be a cancer among the players or something. Welcome to the NIL games from now on. RTR!

It seems since Supercoach left us nothing has went well with the team. I dearly hope this is not a sign of things to come. RTR!
