Hey 2Stater glad you got back safe. To everybody else glad you are all safe today. I noticed a lot of fog last night but it looks like rain today. I had prayer this morning for the Halmin player from Buffalo who was injured last night. I don't watch Pro sports anymore but I hate to see injuries like this. RTR!

Tornado just passed us.  Sirens were blaring.  We are fine, but houses were damaged just east of us.  Two tornadoes were on the ground.

Howdy folks. I'm back to work today.  First day in the office since 21 December 2022.  The time off was great and I would have been ok with just NOT coming back in but, the wife, two boys and I all enjoy eating so...

The bowl season was interesting to watch, at least the few games that I got to watch were.  Bama was impressive after they finally decided to start playing. I don't really care how well or poorly the SEC as a whole did but I suppose it makes the conference appear to be better compared to other Power 5 conferences if they do well.  I just can't pull for 10rSea and am leaning towards pulling for TCU in the National Championship game just because I don't care much for Kirby now.

We were fortunate during the cold snap that we didn't have any frozen pipes.  We did lose almost all of the water pressure a couple of nights though because I suspect there was some freezing in the main line down the road from our house.  We were able to open our valves wide open as well as a couple of other neighbors and that seemed to thaw the ice and restore the pressure... We experienced a few "rolling blackouts" but never really lost power other than some flickers... And our two brand new HVAC units helped us keep warm real nice...

A little late to the party this morning. I had an early doctor's appointment. Chech, I caught just enough of TWC to see where a tornado was on the ground near Olive Branch, but wasn't heading your way, thank God. I hope things have calmed down there.

NALT, glad your pipes and water are ok. Apparently, the power went out here sometime over the holidays as clocks were flashing. The ice in the freezer was only slightly melted, so it must have been a brief outage.

And now, I'm back at the grindstone.

I am glad you are all safe Chechem. It seems to be a day when several will spin up and we not sure where. So, everybody keep an eye to the sky today and tonight. RTR!

I had to take Mrs Dottie to the Pain Management doctor today in Anniston and it was raining so hard with the water spray it was absolutely dangerous to be on those roads. I hope everybody is fine and safe. RTR!

Well, the rain ended and an owl showed up in our yard.  I watched him for a while, got my binoculars to watch him better, then finally set up my fancy scope with camera to capture an image.  BARRED OWL.

Yep, nice pic, Chech. We've had thunder, lightning and pouring rain all night. Supposed to continue throughout the morning and we're under a flood watch. Good times.

Thanks, Preacher.  It was nice to see this owl during the day.  I'd heard one doing its "whining call" at daybreak yesterday, but couldn't pinpoint it.

Best news of the day yesterday was the return of Will Reichard, our kicker, for another year.  I'll bet he wants to avenge that Tenn miss.

Well we had thunder and lightning till early morning and rain. Maybe we can dry out a bit starting today.
I didn't know why Reichard came back but I was glad he did that will give our Freshman kicker time to get ready. RTR!

Thank you, sir.  My buddy and I stood and watched it for 2 hours.  It occasionally flew among trees in our woods, and twice flew down to the ground as if foraging.  Very nice to enjoy such a cooperative hooter.
