Cooler for work this week? I noticed the temp here yesterday-- 5am-- was 43 degrees. I was on the back porch in shorts and a tee and remember thinking that I need to toughen up. Then I saw the thermometer.

I guess, I think the high today is 93.  I am usually distracted by how effed up government work is ...  dont get me started.

Surely not? Hey, should you see any of mine or SC's money go by, say hey for us. TIA

Will do.  I throw going away parties daily.

Big news of the day here on the island is the appearance of a mystery visitor.  Last night was stormy, lots of lightning.  This morning at breakfast one of the women from Iowa asked, “Who was the woman who came to the cottages to warn us about the storm?”
“What?” I asked.
“A woman came to our cottage at 2:03 AM, I looked at my clock”, she said, “and she called out that a ‘severe thunderstorm is coming’.”
John, also from Iowa, confirmed it, saying “I saw her.  She had a khaki skirt and navy-blue blouse.”

It didn’t make sense.  Nobody announces approaching storms to guests here, plus no storm came.  It was just windy and threatening.  Except for the light shower at 10PM, there was no rain.  I asked the cooks, asked the barmaid, and they all confirmed that none of the women was up; they were asleep then.  Cherry (cook) just said, “The Ghost”.  Then all of the cooks looked around in shock.  Cherry laughed nervously.

There is supposedly a ghost that lives in the white house north of our property here.  It's an old schoolhouse building.  Many people have reported it.  It’s a woman.  Nobody knows her name, but the manager here says many guests see her.  This is the first time I’ve heard of it.  Yikes.

Well yesterday we got no rain. It's been regular and I hope to see it again. RTR!

I think I was about 6 years old, when I out grew believing in ghosts. You need to back off on the dope and booze, Cat. Hope this helps!

Kinda looks as though you pull one nut out and they'll ALL fall? But nice presentation.

I had my eye on the horizontal nut in the 7 o'clock position-- adjacent to and just above the rim of the bowl.

my favorite part about the setup is that they are all whole.  They must have taken great care in that arrangement and selection of nuts.

The ones I am eating that need to be taken away from me before I get sick are in a can,

I had a Bama buddy that worked for a nut import company. When I'd see him he'd hit me up with a 40lb bag of natural pistachios. Cool guy.
