If you were going to make a concrete building, would you pour the walls in pacle? Or would you pour them as slaps and then stand them up?

I have to call the New Holland parts guy early. Need drawing, schematics for center/belly cut mower deck. Particularly the bearings housing unit. I've been fighting a silly problem for, no kidding, 3 weeks.

I would just repacle the bearing housing unit.

I talked to my New Holland mechanic guy at his house yesterday. He confirmed my thought on that. The bearings themselves would cost maybe $60, while the entire unit would be more like $200. I'll take it apart first and see what I need,-- thats why I want a drawing.

You'll put a lot more than 140 dollars worth of time in it and you can never get those bearings packed like they do in the factory.  Just IMO.

So, back in pell city, I am thinking I will start building a house.  First i will dig out a basement.  Tips?

BTW, the buddy I mentioned owns a cement plant, so I am sure he knows his pour jobs.

Yeah I think that's "how you do it".

It'll be a while before I get it dug out.

So the local news here just did an interview with stewart cink (apparently he's from here?), anyway, it quickly turned into a Dove commercial.  Really pitiful imo.

He had a bunch of Dove products on a table next to him and a Dove flag in the background, and talked about how Dove really stepped up to help the tornado victims with personal care products.

Maybe just a personal preference, but I would go with high ceiling in a basement plan.

We'll discuss further as I break ground.  Right now it's in the imagination phase.  What I am thinking is I will terrace the hill, digging in for a basement on the bottom.
