Angry So I am minding my own business  when my private line rings. The ID reads California. It was irritating enough because I was already on the phone with a rig, but it turns out to be a telemarketer reading a prepared script. Rather than just hanging up, I generally try to be nice, taking a chance that I may be able to get my # off their list. But here is the kicker-- this guy does not speak enough English for me to effectively converse with him to get my name removed from the list.

I have all our phones on the no call list. The businesss phone never gets telemarketers and if it is not a business call, it is generally a wrong #. I am usually on the side of hard working Mexicans in the immigration debate. But the nerve of some #@&%* to hire non-English speaking workers for predictive dialing. Pissed. I'll hang up and listen.  Angry

He was spanish speaking from california?  That's rather humorous.  Sorry.  Maybe he was making calls while on break from picking strawberries?

I dont answer unknown calls,  so it's been a while since I got a telemarketer, and the one who calls me is a recording.
Yeah. He spoke horrible broken English. I should have tried my broken Spanish on him but as I said, was on another call at the time. Angry

Why, did you get rained out today?

So why are these jobs available with no takers? You can't blame that on high UNEMPLOYMENT. My guess is that it is actual work, and the people that do actual work are riding the 2-3 years worth of unemploy. comp. the dems keep voting for. They did a million $ study that concluded that workers don't start looking for work until their benefits are exhausted. No kidding? :eye roll:

Took the son to the local water park today. we both had a good time. He got blocked up eitht he SPF 30 pretty well. Me...not so much...Shoulders are pretty toasty...

Doing the tylenol / gatorade / Aloe thing. My arms, legs and face are fine, as I am in the sun pretty much everyday with those parts exposed. Shoulders and chest are red. I was planning on keeping my shirt on and hanging with him by the pool(s). He decided to do the Big Slide, (first time ever) so I had to take the shirt off to slide.  Embarrassed

Unlike some other forums that I'll let remain unnamed, we'd all appreciate you keeping your shirt on.  They may go for that stuff downstairs, though.  Kidding aside, sounds like you guys had a ball.

Bush 43 inherited a recession from WJC. He turned it into the most consecutive quarters of economic growth, maybe ever. Unemployment was almost nonexistent until the dems took congress in 2006. The Dow topped 14,000. All this while dealing with the affects of 9/11, Katrina, California wildfires, and war on two fronts. Truly a great American leader.

Mornin' . Me and the Boo are up. Wife worked las tnight, and will be on her hour long commute home shortly. Coffee is made, laundry started, dishwasher emptied...chores will be over shortly, and then a trip to Sam's. Prolly get some chops, and then run by the farmers market to buy some fresh veggies to put on the grill.

Now, a lil' music for the first cup of coffee...
